This is the best way to see Wineglass Bay. The climb can be strenuous at times and requires some boulder scrambling towards the top but the views from the top are well worth the climb.
Allow minimum 3 hours return. If you have the time, do it. You will not regret it. Highly recommended.

Given perfect weather, three to four hours, and a fair degree of fitness and flexibility, this climb to the peak of Mt Amos will reward you with the best 360deg views of the east coast of Tassie.
The mountain is has smooth faces of granite which becomes perilously slippery when wet so fine conditions are essential for a safe decent. Be mindful to take care to not wet your shoes when climbing the cracks in the higher regions.
Make sure to take your own water and snacks.
Maps can be taken from the Freycinet National Park Information Centre. After taking the first signs its a matter of following the white painted arrows on the rocks and the orange ribbons on trees to guide you up and down.
3 hours is a full on climbing expedition and does not include anytime you would like to spend on the top. We spent 45 minutes at the top and could have spent longer except for a raincloud looming and it starting to spit.
Definitely a highlight of our trip.
TIP - Try to go up empty handed. You'll need them for holding and pulling yourself up and helping yourself down.
