If you visit Tasmania the chances are you are coming here.

It's a reasonable 45 minute walk up to the the viewpoint. The views on a nice day, luckily I had one, were lovely.
I also got to see some wallabies in the car park as well

This is a beautiful climb on a mostly paved, track with lots of steps. Very busy but fairly wide so not a problem. We went down to the beach from here and did the loop across the isthmus which took us about four hours (approximately 11 km) with a bit of lounging on the beach. The colour of the water here has the most amazing array of blues I have ever seen!

If you are in the area and have the energy and the time, this is a must ! The walk wasn't as bad as I expected and the scenery along the way was well worth it also ! Loved it and will definitely do this again on our next visit to Tasmania !!

Upgraded since our last visit. A nice walk up the view, definitely worth a little bit of up hill effort!

There are a number of walks to do in the area, we chose the 5 hour walk around the hill, which took in both the stunning views over Wine Glass bay and the Hazards. Probably the best view of the bay would be from the top of the mountain but the circular walk gives a pretty good look at the area of Freycinet National park. DON'T forget your park pass. If travelling by car from Melbourne get the pass on the Ferry. Coles bay is a nice place to stay but be aware the water can be a bit chilly!!
