This was one of the highlights of a trip with my girlfriend back to my home state of Tasmania. Our guide, Sam, was very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. The quad bikes are a lot of fun to drive and not too difficult to get used to, particularly after a little practice session that includes the safety precautions. The 20kms or so of rough and undulating track out to South Friendly Beaches are surrounded by interesting bushland. The destination itself is worth it as I don't believe there is any other way to access this part of Friendly Beaches, other than the track we took. Not being summer when we visited, it was just the two of us and our guide on the bikes that day. We had just two days in Freycinet but I'd really recommend everyone to include this as part of their visit.
