“What a wonderful retreat!”
Reviewed April 30, 2014 via mobile

My friend and I stayed at this wonderful place for a weekend. The beach house is spacious and super clean. Most importantly, the owners are one of the nicest people I have ever met. This factor would make a B&B stay memorable... and our stay is one of them!

Keep it up!

Hi and many thanks for your review. Belinda and I get a great kick out of hosting our 'really nice guests' so the feelings are mutual.

We stayed in studio apartment 1, for one fabulous week at Eagle Peaks. The studio is set in a tranquil scene, private deck overlooking the garden to the sea, perfect. The studio is architectually designed, modern, lovely decor, spotless, private and has all the comforts you need; the homemade mueslli is delicious! Our hosts, Belinda and Iain, made the stay even more memorable-always available and have a fantastic knowledge of the area. The walks, rides or water sports are all at the door step. We had a wonderful week and would highly recommend Eagle Peaks. We definately will return-cant wait.

Very glad to hear that you enjoyed your extended stay at Freycinet as opposed to the average 2-3 nights most visitors spend in the area. You have no doubt exhausted the options of things to do and see on the east coast but hopefully before you return Belinda & I will discover a few more hidden treasures for you to explore and enjoy.

My partner and I stayed here for two nights in late February. Because of the beautiful surroundings in Freycinet you can't help but have a fabulous time, but Iain and Belinda made it that much more special. They are both very knowledgable and helpful and at the same time unobtrusive if you wish to be left alone.

We stayed in the beach house, which I believe used to be their house when they first moved to the area. It is a gorgeous little place, with a lovely view to the water and all the creature comforts you would expect. At night when you are weary from a day of walking in the parks and there isn't a lot to do in town, you can come back and lounge around in the living room and play board games or read.

I highly recommend staying here as a treat if you are headed down this way.

Hi
Thanks so much for your kind words. Your right about not much to do in town!! You certainly wouldn't be visiting Coles Bay if you wanted to go clubbing - maybe not such a bad thing. All the more reason that you have a comfortable retreat to return to after enjoying the Freycinet environment. Glad you enjoyed it. We count ourselves very fortunate living in such a pristine part of Tasmania.

I stayed two nights at the Beach house and will definitely come back. What is unique about Eagle Peaks is not so much the excellent setting / design / comfort of the beach house but I would say the owners Lain and Belinda. They make you feel truly welcome and you very quickly feel at home. Lain and Belinda behave like fantastic neighbours ready to help / advise and one may quickly forget they are indeed the owners of the place!
For sports lovers, Lain and belinda are avid runners / bikers / swimmers (what else?) and are indeed the best people to guide you discovering beautiful Freycinet NP.

Even though we are so fortunate to live in one of Australias most pristine and naturally beautiful environments both Belinda and I agree that we would struggle to live in such a small community if we were denied the enjoyment we receive from mixing it with our clientele. Merci beaucoup for your review and on your next visit we will have to run the circuit together (just don't do a marathon the day before)…...

We stayed in a studio apartment at Eagle's Peak for 2 nights over the Christmas holiday. It was an excellent base to explore the National Park. The studio itself is very well designed with a hint of beach house luxury. It has good facilities for making basic meals. The lovely hosts put a BBQ on our deck at our request and also provided excellent breakfast supplies that were topped up daily. The room itself was spacious for a studio, had a big bathroom and was spotless. We would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing and comfortable stay in the area.

Room Tip: We stayed in studio 2. Although others have said studio 1 is more private, studio 2 is still well se...

Hopefully the BBQ's will start getting a bit more use. Unfortunately the summer has not been so kind to date but we are hoping for some belated summer weather over the next few months. Many thanks for your review and really glad you enjoyed your time at Freycinet.

Absolutely fabulous, nicest hosts, amazing accomadations with a great ocean view. Need at least two nights to appreciate and wish we would have stayed 3 or 4 and relaxed, hiked and enjoyed another couple days.

Would stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend to all my fellow travelers.

Thanks so much for your comments. Tourism generally can be a bit of 'hit & miss' wherever you go so we always hope that the Eagle Peaks experience is more hit than miss with our valued clientele.

We enjoyed two nights in the Beach House with friends. The facilities were excellent and the house well equipped and thoughtfully designed. The bush garden, with ocean views, provided a beautiful, natural environment. Iain and Belinda are helpful and gracious hosts, most responsive to our needs. Definitely a great place to stay in Coles Bay. WiFi was not operating fully at the time of our visit.

Unfortunate that the mobile wifi device that we lend to guests was broken at the time. Reception is not great at the best of times in Coles Bay.
