“Just so good, and Rastus is gorgeous!”
Reviewed March 30, 2014

This is my second Wineglass Bay cruise, the first time being in 2010. Rastus the "First Mate" and Dolphin Spotter is still there - he is a gorgeous and cute dog! He can sense dolphins and will get all excited and bark lustily whenever he senses dolphins. The cruise goes for four hours and starts at Coles Bay and takes you to Wineglass Bay for lunch on board (cheese, juice and oysters) and then back. The guide is always informative and entertaining. It was a full cruise - there is seating for about 40 passengers.

“What a great cruise!”
Reviewed March 28, 2014

Although we had really bad weather, we still went out and had a great time. Charmaine at the office is always smiling, knows her stuff and makes you feel welcome. Paul our skipper was very knowledgable and Jason was attentive to all guest (as well as the sea sick)! There was great sea birds to watch in wonder and once we sailed into Wineglass Bay, on cue the dolphins put on a show. It was wonderful. Lunch was a small tasting plate of local Tassie cheese, quince paste and crackers. Beverage was a choice of local beer and wine, love how they use local produce. We will be back to do it again, and this time we will make sure it is a lot warmer and the sun is shining. Highly recommend.

“What a wonderful experience”
Reviewed March 25, 2014 via mobile

My wife and I took this four hour trip whilst staying in Coles Bay.
You are provided with wind and waterproof jackets, so no need to bring your own - though you will still need a coat or jumper as well as it can get a bit blowy!
But what a great excursion! The very knowledgeable captain gives you a detailed commentary throughout the trip. We pulled in close to caves, saw many dolphins leaping around the boat with one seal, came up to a small island with many seals lazing around, watched an albatross taking off, and many other birds. And of course, stopped for a snack lunch on the wonderful Wineglass Bay.
I would highly recommend taking this trip.

"A local' who has been up to coles many times...... but finally decided to go aboard. Oh was a fabulous 4 hour trip. There is so much more to see out there! The scenery was awesome, so dramatic. We saw hundreds of dolphins frolicking with the boat. Dozens of albatross very close to the boat. And a quiet time in Wineglass Bay with oysters, cheese and bubbles. Hello how great is that!!! Rastis the dog was a hoot!! The staff were knowledgable, friendly, professional and fun. I would say a must if you have time - no make time.!

“A great trip!”

A must do in Coles Bay a few hours trip to Wineglass Bay. Amazing scenery along the coast, seals, dolphins, eagles, albatross and then a lovely stop moored in Wineglass Bay for champagne and oysters. What more could you ask for?
The staff were all professional and everything from the heavy waterproof coats and seasickness tablets provided was well thought out.
Thanks guys for a great experience.
