“The best bargain in the area”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2011

Not only was this B&B the best bargain in the area, i.e. a couple of minutes drive to Freycinet National Park, but Lynda was an extremely gracious hostess. We've been fortunate and have traveled the world these past forty-five years and this stop was one of the most pleasant we've had in our experience.

We found this a perfect base for exploring Freycinet without engaging the unbelievably expensive packages that are marketed for this wonderful part of the world at the more upmarket but not much better resorts. Attentive and helpful hosts, comfortable and quiet lodgings and delightful garden and bay frontage. And how often at a B&B are you invited to use their phone?

We really enjoyed our stay for two days at this B&B. Our host Lynda was the best host one could wish. She made us fell like we came back home.

The room was very cozy and we enjoyed the warming blankets in the bed. There is no TV in the room, but there is one in the large living room. This room is shared with the other guests, but we had it for us all of the time.

The breakfast was just amazing, Lynda asked what we would like to eat and prepared it fresh for us. It was really delicious and beside the cooked breakfast there was also a very good fruit salad and yoghurt etc.

The house has a big garden with direct access to the pelican bay. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset at the bay.

After the two wonderful days we would have loved to stay a few more nights but we just didn't had the time to do so :-(

This place was really excellent....Lynda and her husband took really nice care of us. The breakfast was so nice, and the information they gave us. She even helped us with the laundry although we hadn´t asked her ! We travelled in Australia for six weeks and this place was definetly top 3 ! Martin & Pavlos

We had the best 2 nights sleep ever as the queen bed was so comfortable. We ate healthy but yummy breakfasts & the hosts looked after us so well. Their knowledge of the area was very helpful. Jane & I enjoyed the most relaxing part of our Tasmanian holiday at Pelican Bay B&B. The B&B was luxurious but with all the charm of a home away from home. We will return.

This is a really lovely small B&B (only 2 rooms!) and the owners are very friendly. The room was very clean though there was no door between our bedroom and the ensuite bathroom - so couples only!

Accommodation in the whole Freycinet area is expensive so although it was pricey at $160 per night it is still competitive. Major negative was that it's a drive from the B&B to any of the restaurants (only one of us could drink!). We might have been better off paying a bit more money and staying somewhere else with a restaurant (Edge of the Bay looked good and the food was excellent!)

Full cooked breakfast with fruit and cereals too was excellent! And very friendly owners.

Nice B&B on a quiet bay near Freycinet National Park. Perfect location for exploring that part of the world. Lynda is an excellent host, providing lots of local information, and a fabulous breakfast. We enjoyed the accomodation even though we spent most of our time exploring the peninsula.
