We really enjoyed this Emporium when we travelled to the north of the state. It is huge, set out on several layers with old, new and in between items for sale. It took us a while to work our way though this expansive set up, but we bought some really good and unusual items for the garden, and an old light fitting from one of the areas down stairs. Our boys loved the pirate ship (and of course the lolly shop). The pirate ship kept them amused as we explored the upstairs area. Thank you to you all. We were impressed with your business and your helpful staff. Yes, we could confidently recommend you to others.

“It is an emporium!”

Great shop - a huge variety of stock at very reasonable prices. In fact, we went back for a second visit, in case we missed anything! Loved the pirate display, and the books, the tools & the toys, the china, and the garden ornaments...
The staff are so friendly and helpful. We bought a large item that needed shipping to Western Australia, and they organised it for us straight away.
Well worth a visit.

“The Antique Emporium, Devonport, Tasmania”
Reviewed November 17, 2012

From the outside nothing prepares you for what is inside this building. The Antique Emporium is an absolute treasure trove full of an amazing array of furniture, old books, nick nacks, interesting items, antiques and old collectibles, all ably displayed throughout the multi-levels. A fine selection of oriental artifacts are also on display and available for purchase. The owner is so welcoming and is passionate and knowledgeable about what he purchases. He makes trips to Indonesia, China and other Asian countries to select distinctive items for his store, which makes it quite unique in the city of Devonport, and for a visitor from interstate, a very surprising and interesting experience.

“I was surprised”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

Having an hour up our sleeve in Devonport my wife wanted to have a look at The Antique Emporium. We did visit the Emporium many years ago when it was located further down Formby Road, then I was not overly impressed. So I agreed to have a look at the new (new to me) store. And I must admit I spent a pleasant hour inside, and my wife stated she actually likes it better than Reliquaire at Latrobe, this is a big statement as she loves Reliquaire.

The Emporium is full of nick nacks that would delight and amuse many. There's a range from the brand new to many antiques to collectables, and it's packed. There's also a fun pirate theme upstairs at the rear of the store that the kids wold love, and of course you can buy items of pirate nature there.

Worth a visit.
