Great place to unwind and have a nice cold drink and something to eat. Such a great sized area right in the heart of Devonport.
I've been there a few times now and the staff are really friendly and it's just like being at home

“The best choice of bar while in devonport!”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

I love the vibe of this place it's upstairs and has an outside area that looks down onto the mall, the food is divine I recommend a taster plate or definitely the prawns! And if you're in on a week night try and get a half price cocktail they're amazing! I also love the bands they get in but they are pretty loud so it is difficult to have a chat later in the evening.

“Good food, really good staff”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

I've gone to Tapas on many occasions, it's one of the local popular spots to go out for a drink later in the evening and is a real crowd pleaser. I've also had tea here a number of times, my husband is a bit of a picky eater and thinks their menu could have a few more options but I think it's great, they always bring it out in decent time and price and quality are spot on, the place looks amazing! it used to be a pool hall going back a few years ago and they did some amazing reno's! I love it, the owners obviously have taste, and they have hired some of the best staff in town, friendly and fast and always happy to say hello no matter who you are :) oh but if your planning on going here late on the weekend it's an over 25 bar so you have to be over 25 or have a memebership card or they wont let you in. Just remember that if your a tourist :)

“Better bar venue than restaurant”
Reviewed June 15, 2012 via mobile

I suppose it was a Friday... Band was due to start at 930pm and I thought we'd be out of there. Alas. Food took a while to get out The big tapas platters we ordered were nice but very expensive for what you get. Plenty of deep fried potatoe scallops for all. I'll try separate dishes next time. Drinks OK but nothing special. Nice bar venue for locals and good band!

“Best thing to happen to Devonport”
Reviewed March 28, 2012

My partner and I paid a visit to Tapas Lounge Bar Devonport recently. Menu is displayed in doorway and looked to offer a good range of tasty delights at an affordable price. Upon ascending the stairs it was an instant feel good experience. Staff friendly and relaxed, lounge inviting, lots of choices for seating including some inviting couches,. Noted two pool tables in far side of the room which are free to play ($20 deposit retuned at end of play) We arrived on a Thursday -dubbed thirsty Thursday, $5 spirits good selection of wine.
For entre we ordered baked garlic mushrooms filled with fetta cheese and crunchy crumb topping and spanish meatballs in a light tomato sauce served with lovely crispy garlic bruchetta. Both dishes perfectly cooked with great balance of flavours.
Mains my husband ordered beef medalians (4 ) wrapped in bacon with a fantastic sauce .. served with side of chips and nicely dressed salad. The beef was cooked to order and arrived as requested med/ rare and was certainly of top restaurant grade.
I ordered scallops served in puff pastry cases with a white wine cream reduction, served with a nicely appointed garden salad, again perfectly dressed. Warning.. no seasoning required, this chef had flavours well balanced and spot on.
As a March promotion we received a free dessert - Spanish donuts... oh my ..!!!!!!! plate arrived 8 per person with a complimentary bowl of delicious hot melted chocolate. Died and went to Heaven. Live music was provided - acustic set, adding to the over all enjoyment. Marketed at the over 25 set.. being a couple edging 50 felt welcomed and really enjoyed the entire experience. Can't wait to go back will try Tapas menu next visit.
