While working in Cradle Mountain for 4 month this was our favorite 'dine out' spot in Devonport during our days off. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good coffee and yummy and nice presented food. Love the 'home'-made baked beans and the Malaysian calamari salad is to die for. Haven't tried all places in town, but I would bet this is THE best place in town!
The cafe is a bit tucked away in a small lane - thus the name :-) - parallel to the main shopping street. Ask around, locals will know where to find it, you will not be disappointed.

The crepes were yummy and the service was quick. The building is old but it was ideal for a lunch break. Prices were reasonable.

I am a frequent flyer to Laneway. I love everything about Laneway cafe and it is just awesome that they open on a Sunday too! The music nights are great! Great to meet with friends and sip a latte while time just passes by.

Been here twice now. Food is yummy, but pricey and if you're not in for "all day breakfast" there aren't many choices. Service is slow, and while not terrible, nothing special either. The atmosphere and furniture is cute and spacious, but let down by a general average vibe. All in all, not awful, just so-so.
