Nice cozy little restaurant. Was waitered on by a tall young fellow who was very good. Had the world famous chowder as an entree, nice but to my taste it lacked something. Had the barra for a main which was beautiful but could not finish it. Recommend.

We've been to Sharky's 4 or 5 times now. Prefer to go there before boarding ferry to Melbourne. The owner/chef we have spoken with is a former local fisherman who is clearly keen and capable. Food has always been great. It's a small cafe locale. Pleasant location on waterfront opposite ferry berthing. Definitely a preferred food option if traveling, particularly if the alternative is anything on the ferry. But even without travel in mind, Sharky's is worth a visit. It'll be fresh and it'll be good.

On arrival i was greeted by rude and rushed wait staff, i then ordered, the batter was really heavy and way too much salt after i asked for no salt, maybe i went on a bad day i'm not sure but i was dissapointed from the start, maybe i'll try again not really sure.

Easily the beast seafood restaurant in Tasmania! Sharkies has won in every aspect after visiting many other seafood restaurants in Tasmania and interstate. Great value for money and the best service you could ask for. Originally from the North West Coast, Sharkies is a restaurant I will make sure I always visit on every return to my hometown. It has never failed to impress! A small, cosy restaurant with fabulous decor`, it is sure to blow your mind!

We decided to try this restaurant based on the previous reviews, and weren't disappointed. We both had the Trevalla with creamy garlic prawns on top (they were able to do it gluten free!). The travalla just melted in your mouth. The salad was lovely and fresh, and the chips were really nice. Yes, there were some soggy ones, but that was only because they were underneath the fish. I had a lovely glass of the local Ghost Rock Sauv Blanc which was lovely and light and complemented the meal perfectly. We decided to forgo entree with the view to dessert, but were so full, there wasn't room.

The restaurant itself was quite small, but it wasn't too busy, even for a Saturday night. The service was excellent as well.

I'll definitely be back.
