I went to Bella's for lunch with friends and ordered the seafood pasta with mussels and prawns. The dish was served in small dessert bowl which was far too small for practical eating. The mussels also still had their beards intact, which should have been removed, and the tomato based sauce had pieces of unknown white hard shell throughout it, giving an unpleasant experience akin to eating rocks. The tails were also still left on the prawns, which looks nice, but when mixed with a tomato based sauce means your fingers get covered trying to remove them.
Service: Friendly and fast, although they never got back to me on what the white shell was in the sauce. They also changed waiters half way through the meal without any explanation.
Presentation: The food we saw come out for others in our group looked good. Pity they didn't think of the practical side to eating, especially with my dish.
Summary: Devonport is known for its lack of good restaurants nowadays and Bella's keeps that trend alive. Good for a quick lunch if you don't expect too much. And avoid the seafood pasta with mussels and prawns.
