“Magnificent food and Ambience”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

A roaring fire in the dining room (Bar) set the tone for a magnificent lunch, followed by coffee in front of the fire. Terrific food, a table by a window with a view, what more could you want.

“Great food - lunch was good”

Called in here on way back from West Coast. Was expensive for what it was but was tasty. Lovely open fire.

“Warm Up & Get Out!”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

The open fire is what you want mostly at the hotel.

Unless you're a billionaire and can afford their crazy expensive meals!

It's 1.5 hours out of Hobart and the prices of the meals are like they're 1.5 hours out of Siberia.

A neat example of no competition and "Let's get the tourist for as much as we can."

I've been 3 times now (stayed in the overpriced accommodation once) and the place still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. And I didn't even have vinegar on my $31 Chicken Parmie!

“Very Relaxed”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Great place to stop for a pint, Huge log fires welcome travellers as does the large selection of wines and beers. On the expensive side but location in these areas keeps overheads and costs high so is understandable.
