A fantastic place to stay with welcome hamper and gourmet breakfast all in place. Ample supplies for a 3 night stay. Heater on so the room was cosy when we arrived. all in all a very comfortable place to stay. Staff were very friendly.

We stayed here (unfortunately for only one night) during our first-time visit to Tasmania and Cradle Mountain.

The location is fantastic – only several kms outside the park entrance – and the facilities were inviting. Comfortable bed, clean kitchen, balcony looking into the beautiful Tassie forest, and more room than we knew what to do with. Most importantly (in April), our clean welcoming cabin provided warm surroundings (and a kitchen to cook a warm dinner) after a day of hiking in Cradle Mountain’s chilliness.

The Wilderness Village is a great option for families. It is in a quiet setting and the children loved staying up and watching the local wildlife come out at dusk. We stayed in a 2 br Chalet which was clean, mordern but on the basic side when it comes to decor. The kitchen facilities were adequate; we took the adivce of other contributors and did our big supermarket shop on arrival in Launceston.
Would recommend this place and stay there again.

Cradle Mountain National Park has a number of accommodations providing lodges. There is however only one Cradle Mountain Logde with a nice bar, restaurant and lovely fire place to relax after a day's hiking. Wilderness Village is a different location that provides basic self-contained lodges, but lacks the 'lodge' feeling one expects. There is a common area where you can have a drink or play a game. The reception also provides free DVDs so that is good. The units have TV and a kitchen.
