A very peaceful, private venue (apart form the numerous wildlife wandering about around dusk and dawn. Beds were comfortable and the cabins were very well equipped. We loved the
native shrubbery especially the abundance of native warpaths. It was close enough to the two local eateries - I am glad there are few shops etc thus retaining the natural environment.

Room Tip: I don't think there woud be much of a difference except for sizes. There is a wonderful shot of...

We stayed in the Premium Chalet for two nights. Quick and efficient check in, lovely lady gave us lots of information. Chalet was wonderful. Spacious, well heated, jacuzzi, balcony, small kitchen, comfy bed and good bath room. Finally no slamming doors or sounds from other guests. Wifi is available but only in the lounge for AUD10 an hour I thought this was a bit much but you are in the middle of nowhere so prices are high. Some restaurants around and Cradle Mountain is fab. Loved it. Together with this great place to stay we had a fantastic time. And those we nag about the brown water, it is totally ok to drink, shower, etc. It comes straight from the mountain and it is 100 pct clean, just looks a bit weird.
Book it and enjoy!

We had a large party that was accommodated in 2 separate cabins. The cabins were clean, functional and comfortable (quite warm actually). There was cooking facilities and we made our own dinner.

This was probably the lowest cost accommodation we could find in the Cradle Mountains.

The double-decked beds were quite soft, and for some reason, the upper deck was actually quite warm to the point of it being somewhat hot and uncomfortable.

Location is fantastic, just minutes walk/drive right before the Visitor's Center, and right next to nature.

My other gripe was that the water from the taps were brownish... perhaps a bit too much minerals in the water from Cradle Mountain?

Our studio cottage was more than adequate for a couple with a separate room with 2 bunks, a good sized bathroom and fully self contained. The cottage was in a bush setting with wildlife wandering around the cottages. Very peaceful. The Visitors Tourist Centre was a 5 minute walk where you can pick up the shuttle bus to take you to the start of any walk. We did the Dove Lake walk on a beautiful sunny day. Would love to visit again one day.

The studio cabin that we stayed in was lovely, with the rusty exterior hiding a very cosy, nice & an extremely clean interior.

It contains most of the cooking facilities that we required for a 2 night stay with home-cooked meals (microwave, halogen cooktop, fridge etc). The 24/7 movie channels are also an added bonus. There is also a courtesy bar (24/7 access via room key and payment via honour system) in the guest lounge, complete with CD & boardgames for free loan during our stay. Guest laundry is also available $4 (4 x $1 coins) right next to the reception.

The water is tainted yellow, probably a natural phenomenon of the Cradle mountain, however the bathroom still sparkles as fresh as it looks new.

Reception opens till 6pm, and all late arrivals after would have their room keys left in the after hour box so it's well-catered for late arrival. The only constructive comment to the staff is to show more flexibility with the request for late check out. 10am is normal, and it would be reasonable to allow for a slightly later checkout time, when the village is not busy of course. Also a slight warning that all units are quite closeby to each other.

Overall a very pleasant stay!
