Stopped on a whim while traveling traveling through. I could mention what we had and how good it was, lets just say it was all great!!!

If your looking for a bite to eat on the road from Launceston to Hobart give it a try.

Must make mention of the 'special sausage' with the big breakfast and the caramel sauce with the sweet breakfast pancakes.... Excellent!!!

Over priced. Upmarket food out of place in a small town. Trying too hard to please the big city folk!

For ages this has been our go-to stop on the drive between Hobart and Devonport.
Not any more
We arrived with our 3 children for dinner on Thursday early evening. It was not busy but the staff were off hand and unwilling to discuss changes to the menu to better suit our kids (ie healthier options).
When we asked for water for the table... a bottle arrived that cost $3!!
We weren't informed of the cost before it arrived and then they told us they refuse to serve tap water
UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!

Stopped for lunch, had a nice meal. I had beer battered fish and chips, delicious. The batter was light and crispy, and came with a nice salad. My wife had the bruschetta, which was okay, but only one piece of bread for $16.50? Not great value.
Also water had to be bought, it comes in mineral water bottles but they don't open it at the table so it feels like they're just adding filtered water to bottles and charging you 3 bucks for it.
Service was quick and friendly, but lunch cost $45 for two people. We'll check out the other eatery, red bridge, on our way back through.

Location, location, location...Zeps has been a traditional stopover for me on the long haul trip from Devonport to Hobart and return. Eating there recently and a reasonable menu and nice food. Service is good. They do some quality coffee and tasty hot chocolate. Recommended spot for a nice lunch.
