“Great stopover”
Reviewed December 16, 2012

I always stop here for a coffee, home made muesli, local products or magnificent vanilla slice. Next to a beautiful park/river/red bridge if you need to stretch your legs or the is the dining hall to relax in.

“The best vanilla slice ever!”
Reviewed December 15, 2012 via mobile

Great spot to drop in on your way up or down the highway. Coffee (and hot chocolate) was very good. Not a big selection of savouries but what they have are really tasty. Home made giant jam donut was excellent.

“Worth a stop on your travels across Tasmania”
Reviewed December 1, 2012

The providore had some lovely Tassie produce. Some of the home backed items were very good. But it was pricey and something missing from this place. The history of the building is worth a read. Worth stopping to look at even if you don't make a purchase/ take a meal. Tere a better cafes on the road from Hobart to Launceston for me!

“Only average”
Reviewed November 28, 2012

Stopped for brunch. The food was pre-prepared well beforehand and just warmed up, so was soggy and not at all fresh or appealing. Coffee was acceptable, but have had better elsewhere in Campbell Town. The staff member who served us seemed disinterested and not at all welcoming which gave an overall poor impression. On the plus side the shop area has a very good range of gourmet products to purchase. Plenty of parking at the rear.

“YUM!”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

Visited twice while staying in the area = just for coffee and cake. The coffee is the best we have had in Tasmania so far, The vanilla slice has to be seen to be believed (and according to one of us, tastes as good as it looks) as well as a fine selection of other sweet and savoury treats. Add to this a good selection of wines and Tasmanian gourmet products in a sympathetically restored old brewery and we think this place is a winner. We would recommend it to anybody travelling through Campbell Town on the Midlands Highway.
