Another beautiful dinner of local flathead in the Nth of Tasmania. Good service, simple tasty meal and a reasonable wine list. Recommend

My wife and I had some takeaway from Fish On The Edge after driving past the place hundreds of times.
WHAT A GEM!!!
We had crumbed fish and chips, great fish and lovely home made sauces, they even had a lemon wedge. We also had coconut prawns, these were equally as nice.
This place was around half full of diners and for a cold and wet night was great.
This place will be our regular for fish and chips from now on.
I would suggest, from my personal observations, that this may be the only place in Burnie that does not use frozen pre prepared food, and for this they should be congratulated,
Well done fish on the edge, we will be back and I hope many others follow.

After a rainy but lovely hike in the high country of northern Tasmania, we were wet and hungry. Fish on the Edge appeared along the side of the road, and we went in. What a pleasant surprise! The food was excellent, both in quality and value. The staff were great, also. My husband and I shared the seafood plate for two, and we struggled to finish it (but we did because it was so delicious), the fish was fresh, and even the chips were great. Highly recommend this cafe.

Great place for a seafood meal. Staff are lovely and provide good service. Cost of food is on par with other restaurants and the views of the ocean are lovely.
