Great place to stay and play golf. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious with a nice outlook over the course and ocean.

We ate in the restaurant and had a delicious meal with very good service. Fantastic view over the course and Anderson Bay toward Bridport. We managed to arrive at our table to watch the sun set which added to the evening.

After 2 pleasantly punishing days of windy golf we decided a massage was needed to sooth the aches and the spa was a great choice. An hour of bliss followed by 30 minuted in the spa which overlooks the ocean is a treat. Bit of a shame you have to pay an extra $30 for the spa though.

We will definately stay here again, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and overall it was very well run. The only thing that could be improved would be to have bath robes in the rooms. It's a comforting touch which is more the norm now rather than a "luxury". Also - king beds please.

We opted for the ocean view and didn't regret it. Despite the ferocious wind on the day we arrived, the rooms are set to be protected from the prevailing wind. The rooms are tastefully masculine in decor, with big dark wooden bed and furnishings, and such a comfortable leather Chesterfield (or maybe I was just that grateful to sit down - see review of golf course).

Marvelous, hot shower with good toiletries. Bar fridge with 2 x 600ml complimentary spring water given the tap water is not recommended for drinking - yet no instructions how to get more water if needed. The bed was comfortable, however, my side reeked of the deodorant of some previous sleeper (one of those gentlemen who simply don't know when too much is much more than too much). The pillows were enormously fat - wish we'd requested different pillows.

The restaurant service was friendly and helpful (given the knowledge of our hostess was limited, she was very willing to 'go ask'). Fresh bread, lightly toasted with garlic and served with dips. Chicken with a multitude of delicious roasted veges. Freshly shucked oysters (of course), very nice. Pan fried Trevalla with hhmmmm...can't remember - I blame the wine! All very good quality, fresh, tasty, beautifully prepared. When we couldn't finish it all our request to put our chicken and bread into containers was accommodated, within only the proviso that all responsibility for the food after leaving the restaurant was ours (no problem - it was absolutely fantastic for lunch next day!!)

All in all, a very good option to stay on site if playing both courses.

Room Tip: Spend the extra and take a sea view.

Not everyone. The person behind the reception desk was friendly but never got out of her chair. The server in the restaurant didn't know how the special fish dish tasted. There is no shuttle between courses, except those who are signed up for a transportation package.

The food is good but should be for the cost. You need to make reservations when you book your rooms and tee times.

The golf folks are very very good. They were attentive and knew what to do.

The rest of the folks need some serious, concentrated customer service training.

We spent 3 nights here while we played golf at Barnbougle Lost Farm and the Dunes. The rooms were fine and the restaurant was extremely good. If you are a golfer then you have to go there before you die!! For non-golfers the spa is wonderful, and the view from the spa pool is incredible, as is the view from the restaurant. Overall, one of the best experiences ever.

Stayed at Lost Farm in January for 2 nights and enjoyed both the golf and the accomodation. Really good rooms, clean and very large and suitable or singles or doubles. A great restaurant that has an outstanding wine cellar. The steaks are great and the Black Gutt wine (just ask for it) is well worth the price.
Play both the Dunes and Lost Farm courses.

The Dunes is a bit harder and the greens are really tough, Lost Farm has some spectacular holes but a few that are fairly bland on the back 9.

Service is a bit average so don't expect city quality service, the people are really nice but lack a little bit of the Customer is right and comes first.

I would rate the accomodation 4 and the service 3.

What a brilliant golf course with accomodation, restaurant and facilities almost as good.
The Lost Farm course is equal in interest to the Dunes, but overall playable to a wider group of golfers.
The accomodation was good with 2 exceptions.
The water in the facility is not fit to drink, which was not pointed out at Reception. Neither was the complimentary water bottles in the fridge in room. Was only found after consuming some water, when we were reading through the in room amenities folder. Could have been a disaster, fortunately no negative effects.
The other was a lack of reception in the building generally. Desparately needs WIFI accross the rooms and buildings.
That aside a wonderful 3 nights.
Good food and wine and with 2 courses a great golf adventure

Room Tip: Ocean View Rooms were spectacular.

Went for a sunday lunch over christmas expecting up market golfing crowd but was surprised. Casual dining at it's best and talk about a terrific view of the water and surrounds. We were seated right by the window small menu burgers, salads, grilled fish etc. Not at all expensive, service good wine list also. Would definetely return a good hour's drive from our place.
