Took the day to your around the Tamar river region. Whilst it's only a 45 min drive from
Launceston Tasmanian to get to Beauty Point and the Seahorse World plus Platypus House side by side, there is so much to see and do along the way kids loved it.
Never seen so many seahorses ever! 3000 baby seahorses just in one tank. Bright colours. Very active and you get to touch and feel seahorse plus many other sea creatures too - crabs, starfish. We didn't pet the eels!

Must visit great place to see and learn about seahorsesand different types. Place to see of any age, as they are also children friendly as has children in our tour. The tour guide will answer any questions you may have. And the best thing you can handle a seahorse and other sea creature's. I would recommend schools to the place great way for students to learn about seahorses

Seahorse tour, small Southern Ocean aquarium, and gift shop/cafe. Our tour guide Lani was a most pleasant, interesting, and extremely knowledgeable guide. We went along to the facility early to take part in the first tour of the day, and so we were lucky to be the only couple on our tour. This allowed Lani to expand upon comments we made as we observed these intriguing creatures. We have undertaken quite a lot of tours in our travels, and I must say that Lani is possibly the best tour guide we have come across. Her excellent communication skills and knowledge and her willingness and flexibility to answer questions we raised, is a rare combination which made for a brilliant experience. We would have gladly paid extra to have a private tour like this where we can ask so many questions, we fluked it today. I don't know how much time the guides here normally devote to answering questions, but many tours we have done do not allow much if any time, and it did make such a difference to have that aspect fulfilled. The 45 minute tour went so quickly, if it went for over an hour would be even better and allow us to learn more. We are interested in the seahorses (and other creature's) conservation status as well as their biology. Other staff members were also friendly and very helpful. Thankyou for the information you gave me about the Tasmanian marine environment and marine reserves. A great morning. Thankyou all at Seahorse World.

After reading raves on Tripadvisor about this place I decided to go, I was disappointed and found that I yawned through the entire tour as it was quite boring. Some of the information was good and some of the sea horses were interesting to look at but having to through it as a guided tour and the slowness of the tour ruined it for me
