After some bad experiences in the area we were a little skeptical at first, but left pleasantly surprise after a delicious meal cooked well in a well run and attentive restaurant.
Clearly the staff care about good food and service and despite being very busy and only having 2 front of house staff they managed to keep up and we didn't have any long waits.
Both of our pasta dishes was cooked well, well seasoned and with good flavour combinations.
The house made ice-cream dessert was a bit too sweet but still worth the price.
All in all a well recommended place to dine if you're in the area.

My husband and I love eating out and we have tried all the well known restaurants across the Blue Mountains over the last few years. We have been back to Seven 4 or 5 times because it is simply the best in the area. We just can't find any fault with it. Whilst it may not be the fanciest or most "up market" restaurant around, it ticks all the boxes in terms of value, food, service, and atmosphere. We have been on Saturday nights and observed probably 30+ people get turned away without a booking (Make sure you book!!!) The locals know how good this place is, you can tell because its even busy on mid week nights. The owner; Shane, is a lovely guy and very genuine, he is an excellent host and very obliging. All the staff are professional and very friendly and we have never had a bad meal. The place has a great buzz and a real vibe, especially on Saturday nights.
We cant believe the bad review Seven got on this site. The horrible things they said are just not true. It sounds to me like a case of typical whingeing poms! You just have to look at other reviews on eatabilty to know this place is great.

We have dined at Seven a few times as it is a restaurant local to us. We have always found the food and service to fantastic & I would recommend it highly. We are planning to dine here again for a family birthday celebration.

My husband and I and 2 friends went to Seven at the beginning of February at the start of our holiday in Australia. This was the worst restaraunt serving the worst food of our 4 week trip! We arrived in the Blue Mountains in terrible weather...really heavy rain and mist. The chap at our accommodation recommended Seven as 'one of the best and most popular restaraunts in the area'. All I can say is heaven help the rest of them! It smelt very badly of damp as soon as we entered but we thought we would stick with it as it had been recommended. There was one other couple in there at the time but most of the tables were set up for 2's not 4's. The chap said bthat he would create a Tble for us but that they were 'scratched up'. He wasnt wrong...they were horrible. The menu was quite good but 2 of us had a chicken dish that was overcooked to the extreme - with chicken that was like rubber. One of us had fish that tasted 'funny' and certainly did not seem fresh. The final one of our party had a pasta dish that was the best meal of the 4 but was only just passable.

I have to say that my main complaint is with with the waitress. She was full of attitude. Having just been presented with a guest compendium in our accommodation that asked us to familiarise ourselves with the various deadly spiders we were likely to encounter we were somewhat worried being naive English travllers! Our friend asked tyhe waitress whether we were likely to meet any and she seemed to take great delight in telling us how prevalent they are and how a boy had recently been bitten on the neck and died! She really did relish frightening us. We since found out that that wasnt true but even it had been...this was both unkind and unprofessional.

All in all this is a dark and dingy little place with no atmosphere, below standard food and appaling staff. Give it a miss! There are much nicer places in Leura which is only 5 mins away.

Australian-Italian fare, well-presented restaurant. Friendly staff, good food, very reasonable prices for food and wines.
