“A great little surprise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2013

My partner organised our get away as a surprise and I had no idea of where we would be staying. I went along somewhat dubious at what she might book especially on a somewhat restricted budget. We drove into the place and on first impressions it looked "OK". Sign in ad go to the room, again, nothing special but looked clean and well kept from the ouside.

Enter the room, well a lovely surprise. A studio appartment, great bath and shower area, large comfy bed and everything was CLEAN and tidy. Nothing was problem here, nice helpfuland friendly staff, great facilities and it was quiet as well.

Its not 5 star, but its certainly very nice, comfortable and surprising.

The large spa is a nice touch and added to the romance and relaxed vibe of the weekend.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights and had a lovely time.. The service was great- we were given suggestions of what to do in the area by the lady on the reception and she was super friendly.. It was very quiet and relaxing! Great little get away. Highly recommend!

From the time we booked to the moment we checked out our experience here was fabulous. At the last minute we took our daughter with us and they upgraded us without a hitch, were very quick on the service and great communication. The staff went above and beyond to help us. The room itself was a one bedroom suite, downstairs facing the forest (room 17) and had a fully equipped kitchen, air cons in both rooms, tvs in both room, a comfy sofa bed in the lounge for our daughter and a great king size bed for us. A beautiful gas fireplace and aircon was in the lounge area. The bathroom was beautiful, spacious and a fabulous spa with plenty of room for two, with massage head shower... all great after a day of walking or visiting the caves. It also had a fully equipped laundry hidden in cupboard in bathroom. No daily service in the room but that did not bother us at all, if you needed more toiletries reception is happy to provide. Everything was so clean and spotless in our unit. Free wi-fi was fast and appreciated. We did not hear noise from anywhere else, could have been staying in an isolated cabin.... which was great considering it was school holidays. Our room faced the forest, to be honest we would have been just as happy in a garden room I think as you could not see into the valley, but we did have our own private courtyard facing the forest which was lovely. We agree with a previous review that a BBQ to use would have been fantastic there (maybe a portable one which could be booked for the evening for the units if it is not possible to have one per unit?????). The location was perfect, only 5- 10 mins from Leura and Katoomba, an hour and 15 mins to the Jenolan Caves. We ordered pizza from Renes in Katoomba and it was fantastic, we also ate at Katoomba RSL in the all you can eat place which was so-so. Overall it was a bit expensive but we were so happy there and will definitely be returning in the future and recommending to others. Great location for family or couples :)

Room Tip: Rooms 13- 17 would be my choice/ recommendation

We had a cosy studio apartment,The room was very clean with modern comfortable furniture including open gas fire and spa bath (perfect for soaking in after walking the mountains). Full Kitchen gave the ability to eat in. Location was superb with only a short stroll to many walking tracks.
Highly recommend a stay.

Bed was comfortable, small kitchenette had everything, but microwave mounted to suit a basketballer was more than a bit wrong.

Fireplace & spa worked fine, but no screen for the shower had water requiring mopping up every time. More of an issue given no daily room service.

Location was fine, easy walk to the Wentworth Falls tracks. Did the job, clean, comfortable, but was overpriced for what you got. If you can get it 30-40% off, might be worth it, but at around $200 p/night, nup

Room Tip: Forest view rooms aren't worth it. Garden rooms are just as appealing with a tree outlook. Studi...

This place is so beautiful, the unit has such a sense of calm to it. We arrived to an open fire and jumped straight in the spa to relax after a long drive. Amazing friendly staff and who were so helpful. The treak around the waterfalls is highly recommened

My fiancee and I had a peaceful, relaxing and very enjoyable 4 night stay. Open fire was a winner! Highly recommend the National Pass walk which is nearby - 3hr trek through the Mountains...breath-taking!

Only negative was my partner found the bed mattress too hard for her back. But everything else was great!
