The Poet's Cottage is a wonderful place to stay in a beautiful setting. Sophia has thought of everything and was wonderful to work with. The cottage was spotlessly clean and well-supplied with complimentary food items. All four of us would highly recommend staying in the cottage!
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at this beautifully-decorated, cosy cottage. It is spotless, inviting, and close to local attractions .
We stayed in Poets Cottage for 2 nights with our three children. They loved exploring the backyard, which leads to a track that goes directly to the National Park. They also loved the baths and the bath salts, and thought that all the extras that were provided were so special- they spent lots of time opening and closing cupboards to see what else was there! So many extras included. The whole family loved relaxing on the back deck, and playing hide and seek in the gardens. The bonus was that we could all walk easily to The Conservation Hut and Empress Falls on our bushwalking adventure. The house is immaculately clean, and the check in and out was very easy. I would definitely stay here again.
Poets Cottage is a dream getaway. It is perfectly situated just off the Great Western Highway at Wentworth Falls; easy walking distance from the falls (and spectacular views) and the village itself.
The cottage is beautifully laid out and well equipped with all modern appliances. Perfect for preparing picnics, breakfasts and stay-in meals, which we did.
The beds are comfortable and have plenty character. The living area is well equipped and comfortable.
The best bit for us was the back veranda and the mature garden in spring time. We spent a whole afternoon here, rather than the hassle and bustle of the tourists traps; and we are glad we did.
Overall I couldn't think of one negative point, so a 10/10, which is rare from me.
Cozy cottage with wifi, we booked for seven people, an it is very good for tourists and short-term visitors who will not be spending that long hanging around. All in all a great place with a lovely garden and easy access to scenic world and echo point.
I've just returned to Melbourne after spending the loveliest long weekend at Poet's Cottage with my family. This beautiful place is an absolute credit to Sophia and we were particularly impressed with the way she has managed to combine the old with the new without compromising authenticity or quality. From the moment we walked up the path and through the front door, the atmosphere was welcoming, nurturing and peaceful. We loved the decor and colour scheme - the white provides so much light and is so refreshing, while the reds and golds add just the right contrast without being overwhelming. The furnishings are tastefully appointed and the attention to detail is commendable. Our beds were comfortable and cosy and all our needs were catered for, whether we wanted to watch tv, listen to music, prepare food in the kitchen or simply take some time out to enjoy the pretty cottage garden. Nothing was compromised when it came to ensuring that state of the art appliances, utensils and other household items were of the highest standard. Everything was well maintained and kept in immaculate condition. Some of Sophia's personal touches such as the Lindt chocolates, bottle of wine, organic coffee beans and a well stocked 'pantry' full of gourmet goodies, were an unexpected and thoughtful surprise. In addition, we were delighted at the high calibre of extras provided such as toiletries, reading material and choice of videos and cds. One long weekend was just not enough to begin to enjoy all there was to offer!

Each year myself and 3 girlfriends spend a weekend in the Blue Mountains. We normally stay at one of the 5 star hotels, however for something different we decided to rent Poets Cottage. We are so glad we did, we will never stay in the hotels again.
From the minute you step through the front door, its obvious the owner cares about your stay. The cottage is spotlessly clean and smells clean to. The kitchen is stocked with little treats like chocolates, tim tams and a bottle of decent wine along with condiments should you wish to cook.
The cottage also comes with comfortable beds and a range of pillows to choose from, not to mention spare blankets, pillows and towels.
The ducted heating was amazing - you would never know it was 4 degrees outside.
Anyone who stays at Poets Cottage - I guarantee, you will not want to leave.
