A fantastic day, started wit drinks and nibbles in the garden followed by the normal wonderful service and amazing food inside the immaculate dinning room. A great day had by all family and friends celebrating my 40th. Well recommended for small group or larger function.

We had a 7 course degustation meal with matching wine at a reasonable price. We loved every minute of it and the wait staff were wonderful.

My husband and I decided to escape to the mountains for the night to enjoy all the mountains has to offer this time of year...the leaves turning, nick knack shops and cozy fires enjoyed over a great meal with a glass or two of the good stuff.
After doing some research on the best place to eat high end we were recommended to go to 1923.
Let me say up front the food was not bad BUT but we were really disappointed in the whole experience.
We understood that the dinner was a 7 course degustation, which ordinarily would be fine but when we arrived we were informed not only was it degustation but although the menu listed an either or selection it was the chef that would surprise us with what were would have. Additionally we would have to share every course!
I would be comfortable with perhaps the first couple but the entire menu!,
We also asked for bread which we were politely informed they did not serve bread...I think the waitress picked up on the fact that were were increasely not impressed with things and scurried away and came back with some bread. We also heard other diners asking for it.
I also enquired and queried the waitress on the menu and what if the people in the party you were dinfing with perhaps didn't t know each other that we'll and didn't want to share... Her response was ' we haven't had that problem before'
The table next to us was a party of 3 they got enough share platters for 4... We on fun the other hand left hungery.
The whole menu felt like tapas and certainly not a high end dining experience. We would not recommend nor would we return.
