“Rather average”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2012

Fairly average food, and really quite expensive for what it was. Limited shade outside, yet the shaded part of the deck had the least density of tables. Service slow. No real views to speak of, at least not when compared to what you see if you walk 10 minutes.

“Go for the view and stay for the food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2011

Another great breakfast. Always hearty and plentiful helpings. Although the sourdough toast was a little dry (more ricotta cheese could have helped) the layers of banana made up for it. The French toast (and more banana) was flavoursome and filling. Strong coffee was a treat in the morning. And we should mention that the view was spectacular.

we only purchased sandwiches here, but they were excellent. Ideal place to stop after the strenous walks down and back up from the valley

“Food with a view”

Looking out those huge windows & thinking wow! Then the food arrived. Even better! They've just started their weekend dinner service again-lots of choice & the portions generous. Friendly staff, nice relaxed atmosphere.

“No ice water if you havn't booked !”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2011

Dropped in for lunch on a day when it was 26 degrees outside.
Asked the waitress if she could serve us some water some and she pointed to a water urn surrounded by glasses.
I went there and saw that it was just a stand alone water urn with a sign saying 'Tap Water"
On taking this back to the table I found that it was tepid. I asked the waitress if the bottles of water that some customers had on their table was iced water and she said it was.
On requesting a bottle of this water I was told it was ........
" only for people who had booked " I asked why this was the case as we were having lunch too. Her response was that they "did not have enough bottles to go around"
So if you are in the area and you want a glass of cool water with your meal make sure you stick to the rules of the Conversation Hut .. and book first !
