Has everything for the traveller from motel rooms to camp sites.Unpowered campsites are a tad noisy with truck noise all night long. Could do with more showering facilities and a LOT more rubbish .
The big benefit if the free access to the swimming and thermal pools.

I stayed here with my husband & teenage son in our caravan in April 2013. The site was a drive through & was extremely narrow but was quite long so we had enough room for the caravan & car. We were very close to our neighbours on either side of us but luckily we had fantastic neighbours so that was fine. The staff were reasonably friendly on check in. We had a spillage in our caravan due to driving on rough roads & my husband went to the office to ask if we could borrow a mop, they said they would bring one down to us, we are still waiting for it but they were quite busy so we overlooked that. We loved the convenience of having the thermal pools in the park, we stayed in the pools until around 10pm & had a great time. The amenities were clean. Would definately stay here again but would probably request a different site so we could put our awning out.

We recently visited and although the staff were very helpful, the standard of the villas was very poor...the floors creaked badly in every room, hot water pressure was poor, pillows pathetic and kitchen utensils almost non existent. However, outside, the pools are great!

The Staff at The Gwydir Carapark & Thermal Pools are very friendly and helpful. We have been visiting this wonderful place for a number of years, and have always found Lindy and the Staff top notch people. I was taught to treat people as I would like to be treated, my husband and I have never had any complaints about these guys. Their marvellous sense of humour and personality is second to none. We venture to Moree at least 8 times a year, to unwind with a group from Guyra, and we thoroughly enjoy ourselves every time. We start and end our annual holidays with a stopover at this great park. Keep up the good work and we hope to visit lots more while we are able. See you all again soon.

After 500km behind the wheel what a great park. Drive through sites a bit cramped but ok for an overnighter. Good kiosk. But the star attraction are the pools a nice big lap pool to strech out and then four varying temperature hot pools to iron out the aches from sitting behind the wheel. Do your shopping in town before setting up as the park is a bit out of town. Highway noise at night no problem and tariff at $31 per night was competitive. Pools were better than the public ones i have used before.

I camped here on a powered site in December and was very happy with the amenities and pool facilities. Park and pool was very well maintained and the staff were friendly and the takeaway shop on site was also good. Would definitely stay here again, it was very affordable and pet-friendly which is a bonus for those of us who travel with our fur-kids.

We have stayed at this park many times.
When travelling Australia, towing our caravan, we enjoy spending our first night away from home here, it is so relaxing. We usually just get a drive thru site for 1 night, set up and straight to the pools for an hour or so. We are back in for a dip before we leave the next morning.
My husband also travels around NSW for work and if I am accompanying him, for one reason or another, we stay here in one of the cabins, which is what we did last night.
Four weeks ago he had a total knee replacement so I am his designated driver for a couple of weeks until he is fully recovered, so we set off to Moree for a bit of therapy, he really believed it helped him and I just enjoyed the relaxation of it.
Normally when we stay in a cabin, we will get a takeaway meal in Moree for dinner but last night we thought we would try the little takeaway place within the park. We both had Lamb Shanks with vegetables, including mash, of course. It was really tasty and did not disappoint. If you want to eat at a certain time, I suggest you place your order early and go back later at the organised time, this worked well for us.
We haven't been here for approximately 12 months and were surprised to see that they had built 13 or 14 new Motel rooms, we had a look at one and have decided that on our next visit without our van we will definitely stay in one of the new rooms. The cabins are in need of an update. We will also order our meal on site.
There will definitely be a next time because we love the pools..

Room Tip: Be sure to make a reservation.
