“Very comfortable, great value motel.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2013

Booked a family room for myself, wife and our three children. We were staying overnight to attend a wedding. The room was huge which allowed us to get ready without fuss. The bathroom was also much larger than the normal motel ensuit. The room was clean, towels and linen fresh. Plenty of tea and coffee supplied.
It really added to our weekend by staying in a cozy motel room rather than travelling home late at night.

I took my elderly parents to my daughters new place at Mandurama for a family reunion and I booked into Blayney Central. The owners went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable.I travel often during the year, personal and for conferences and this family run motel is by far one of the best I have stayed in. I suffer terribly from hay fever and sinus problems and was suffering when I went back to the motel at 9.00pm. I woke up in the morning and had no sign of hay fever. I was impressed when I ran my finger along the paintings and even the door jam and found not a speck of dust anywhere, not even the curtains. Not only was it a very warm and friendly service but it would have to be the cleanest place I have ever stayed. The showers are also the best- lots of pressure and hot water!! Who ever rated this a 3 star ought to reassess the rating!!! Thank you Blayney Central and we will be back-often!!

Room Tip: The staff will give you the best, just ask for what you need!

Blayney... a brilliant motel - woolen blankets that smelled beautiful topped a gloriously comfortable bed. Correctly tuned decent sized TV.. lovely as it was a white framed TV... very fetching.
We had booked but arrived late and they went out of their way to assist us.
Never tried internet - but signal strength was high.
Cooked breakfast was offered but we opted for a local bakery for something different and real "coffee"... we had a long day ahead of us

Again - we paid a sensible price for a very nice motel. THANKS

Room Tip: We stayed in Motel 8.... It had a spa but she who must be obeyed did not have the time to test it

my wife and I arrived at this motel after 5pm on a Friday, we had not booked. The owner stated they were booked out and that he was aware motels in Bathurst were also heavily booked. He then stated he had a room vacated that afternoon which had not yet been cleaned if we were willing to give him time to prepare it. (They intended leaving it till morning for cleaning) We returned to find a lovely room, queen size bed table chairs, very good size room and bathroom. Great value at $90 for the night. No traffic noise and had a great sleep. Cooked Breakfast was good value at $8.00 for good sized meal. Over all this motel is well worth it and a better stay that in the larger towns of Bathhurst and Cowra. We really appreciated the efforts of the staff.

We travelled through Blayney on our way south to Wagga after spending an overnight in busier Bathurst. We decided on our return to stay in Blayney and hit upon the Central Motel late in the day. We couldn't have been happier with the owner's pleasant personality, the great room and also the reasonable price compared to what we experienced in nearby Bathurst.

Small communities like Blayney need people to stop and visit. They may not have the big shopping malls or the massive fast food empires of bigger towns, but they often leave a memory for the visitor of people that have time to talk to you as rural people were known to do in years past. Such was our experience in this brief stopover. The motel was small enough for the owner to care to talk and enquire about you as a person. Our room was more than adequate, spotlessly clean and warm. (Yes you need warm in Blayney in July!!!) We would stay again and bypass Bathurst as an overnight resting place. It was a lovely place to visit. Not that Bathurst isn't a great place, But a small rural town and rural motel can be just different and more personal for a holiday experience.

Similar to the previous review, great value and location for a couple or family. Large room with modern décor, air-conditioning and if required room service. Loved the shower, no chasing water drops, loved it. Close to other facilities if eating in is not your preferred plan. Would stay again, thank you.

4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 26, 2011

I stayed at this property in December 2011 and had stayed there previously. As the name suggests it is in a central position - on Blayney's main street and an easy walk to shops and the railway station. The motel does not have a restaurant but the local hotels and a chinese restaurant are an easy walk from the motel. Although on the main street (Mid Western Highway) truck noise was not a problem as none of the units face the street.

This property is rated as three and half stars and I would consider its facilities would match that rating - much more so than some motels I have stayed in. My room did not have a split system air-conditioning unit (just an older type) but did have a flat screen TV and a recorder/player. The bathroom was well presented and the bed comfortable.

Breakfast is served to the rooms and the service was punctual. Just one little thing for someone like me who does not like bacon - it would be good to have some of the hot dishes on the menu with the option of not having bacon.

Service was friendly and helpful and at $85.00 a night room-only it represented excellent value for money for a three and a half star rated property. Smaller towns away from areas with a lot of tourist and mining activity sometimes possess motels that are of a high standard but excellent value for money. This would be one of them.

The hotel has its own web site at http://www.blayneycentralmotel.com.au.

For anyone travelling in the Central West of NSW and wanting an alternative to staying in Bathurst or Orange I would recommend this property.
