Description: The Piedmont Inn has been Blackheath's iconic restaurant since 1982. The Italian theme of the restaurant still exists and we continue to serve a great range of pastas, pizzas and meals to suit every taste for both dine and takeaway. We only use whole foods and where possible preservative free. We have Gluten free options in pizza and pasta and right through our menu. We also cater for all dietary and/or personal needs. We are a relaxed, family friendly and customer focused restaurant. This buzzy little restaurant is one for you to put on the list to try, bookings are strongly recommended to avoid disappointment. “good value, reliable Italian”
Reviewed February 1, 2013

My wife and I have eaten at the Piedmont Inn several times now so I think it can be trusted to deliver consistently. It's not the most upmarket, or the best, restaurant in Blackheath, but it reliably offers good value tasty food - probably the best value in Blackheath. The pizzas are good, the pasta also, and unlike some Italian places, the mains are quite well done as well. Haven't tried the desserts. BYO is a money saver too.

“Great food, good fun and great value”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

The family has a holiday house at nearby Mt Victoria so we are always on the lookout for good eating places in the area. Apart from the pub there is nothing at Mt Vic.and as others have stated, Blackheath, whilst the nearest town, can be an expensive place to eat out.

We discovered the Piedmont a couple of years ago and have dined there three times in the past year. It has all of the typical italian pizza, pasta and risotto dishes, plus a good a la carte menu and great board specials. Importantly it is also BYO.

It has a busy typically Italian feel, the staff are friendly and the service is good. It is popular, particularly with the locals so bookings are advisable. Upstairs is good for larger parties but downstairs is best for the friendly rustic ambience.

We dined there between Christmas and New Year and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening for $180 for six, and would have no hesitation in recommending it.

Best value we have found in the area.

“Great little find in what can be a very expensive Blackheath”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

Great little restaurant. Nothing fancy and over the top, just great hearty food. We found other restaurants to be very expensive in Blackheath, this place was very reasonable. Food was very tasteful and hearty. Served on these old fashioned plates. BYO corkage was a good price. Will definitely be coming back for a visit. Only negative would be the waitress that served us was very miserable and not overly welcoming (maybe had a bad day?) and the starters were very average. I wouldn't bother with them to be honest. Mains were gorgeous.

Whilst we booked on the same day we ate this place is only very small and seemed already to have a number of bookings I would suggest making a booking just incase.

If you want fairly cheap but very tasty hearty food with no fuss and frills then come here. If not there are some other very restaurants in the village along with the price tag!

“traditionally trattoria”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

Piedmont Inn in Blackheath is an unassuming and cosy respite after a busy week. The pork belly dish with fennel is rather good as is the risotto with mushrooms and pine nuts.Linguini with prawns has a good dash of chilie in it. Like most Blue Mountains venues, there is no adequate protection from the cold. The front door opens onto the west. When an antarctic chill sweeps up from the south across the heights, the single door, constantly opening and shutting, is a trial. No one up this high has heard of double doors for those many nights when you need to stamp in, shake off the sleet, hang up the coat and hat and then enter the dining room. In the Blue Mountains, no such refinement exists. Best nights are Friday and Saturday.

“Great value in town of some expensive restaurants”
Reviewed December 3, 2012

We had dinner here twice in a week. You'll find great value. Several pasta and seafood options, in addtion to tasy pizza fare. Not as pricey as several surrounding restuarants, but still a quiet place for two or a small family.
