Description: UNFORTUNATELY ASHCROFTS BISTRO WILL BE CLOSED FOR TRADING UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE DUE TO A FIRE IN THE RESTAURANT WE HOPE TO BE UP AND RUNNING AGAIN VERY SOON At ashcrofts bistro we pride ourselves in using only the freshest seasonal and local produce. We strive to use the most sustainable products where possible, with menu changing seasonally to reflect the availability of ingredients. Working closely together with our local suppliers we ensure that only the best quality produce will make its way from paddock to plate.

This restaurant has been consistently good for some time now, but Chef Adrian Hunt and his charming wife Csilla have made Ashcrofts a dining must for the mountains.
The presentation and quality of the food is second to none! We have already booked a return visit in November... Booking our accommodation afterwards, just so we can return for another glorious lunch. This restaurant compares to any of the 'top notch' restaurants in Sydney and a not to be missed experience if dining in the Blue Mountains.

We had a private wedding ceremony and decided on our local restaurant, Ashcrofts for our wedding reception. We contacted the restaurant and told them we were planning to marry and would like to have a table for four that evening to celebrate our wedding. On arrival the table was set so elegantly for four, was a private wedding so didn't want a reception as such, the table setting was perfect. The whole evening was everything we hoped for, the food was excellent, service professional and polite. It was such a memorable night. Would highly recommend the restaurant for their food and service.

Warm welcome, friendly staff and super cosy for a cold winters night.

Three of us dined at this Restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised. My friend Mark is a regular.

Attention to detail included a warm bread roll whilst waiting for our Entree.

Entree of Octopus was superb. I am not normally an Entree person but this was delicious.

Main Course - I love duck, but this duck dish was SUPERB. Duck is known for a high fat content but this was lean and perfectly suited to my picky taste buds.

Both Entree and Main were the perfect balance and I had no room for Dessert. Presentation was not over the Top - A basic beautiful presentation.

Price was well worth what we were presented with.

Staff - No fake smiles there. Genuine friendliness and no pretentiousness to be found.

Would I go back - Oh yes, and yes again.

Had a tremendous meal at Ashcrofts, and Adrian and Csilla have grown in confidence since taking over from the previous owners. The meal started off with an amuse bouche (lightly smoked cauliflower veloute with truffle oil) which was delicious. The mains were excellent, complicated with several components - and the biggest surprise of all, the deserts were simply scrumptious and elegant (as good as top Sydney restaurants with their own dessert chefs). We are simply grateful to find a restaurant of this quality and a chef with such imagination (and who does not cut corners) up in the Blue Mountains. Go visit !!!
