Visited the pub for lunch with my family including a baby. The pub had high chairs and a very large dining area spread over 2 rooms. Very family friendly with lots of charming decor. The food was your normal pub fare burgers, snitty, steak, veggies, chips, salad and some lovely in house made pies.

Prices are reasonable in the pub. The barramundi with chips and veg or salad was fine but the calamari was just not real calamari. The pub was fine in terms of refunding on this item. More of a place for a popular, less expensive eat rather than quality fare.

We went here for lunch (heard about the pies). The pub itself is old and a bit outdated. Staff were very friendly. Food was very average. Okay place for lunch, but probably wouldn't go back for seconds.

I was sooo pleasantly surprised with accomodation. It's very well maintained and clean. It's a family pub and owners are so nice and friendly. I would highly recommend this place.

This was out first time at the Ivanhoe dining room and it was surprisingly good. We all know that pub restaurants across the board have improved considerably from the pie and mash in the day but this place was another step up in food quality I thought. The ambience is still pub-like ... nothing special there (although the spot by the natural wood fire on a cold winters night was the ticket) .... but the food quality was exceptional. The four of us had seafood - the seafood basket, crumbed leatherjacket and grilled barramundi. We would have tried their specialty home-cooked pies but they had obviously proved highly popular because they were gone! The seafood was all of good quality and cooked beautifully. And we grabbed an accompanying quality riesling from the bottle shop at a cheaper price than normal retail. And the meal prices were very reasonable - all around $17. Apart from the knockabout ambience (it's a pub after-all) what's not to like?
