“Fantastic place in the middle of the bush”
Reviewed November 25, 2012

This is a beautiful place, still down-to-earth without those superfluous trimmings like spa baths etc...We have been staying at Jemby Rinjah for the past 10 years with our 3 children. It has not changed but has been carefully maintained. It never ceased to delight us. Right in the middle of the bush. Clean, tidy, simple cottages with log fires and close to so many great walks. We hope it will stay the same for many years to come.

My girlfriend surprised me a two night getaway to celebrate my 50th. We both loved our stay and did not want to leave. Situated on the edge of the national park, the location is truly back to nature. The cabin is ideal for two and the wood fire is wonderful. Feeding the birds at 8.30am is a must! The breakfast basket is very good value and the local shops/supermarkets are close by. The cabin has everything you need for a wonderful stay. Very quiet and the staff are welcoming and so helpful. Would recommend the Lodge to all, we certainly will be back. Thanks Jemby-Rinjah Eco Lodge!

We didn't want to leave! We spent two nights in the one bedroom cabin with jacuzzi and log fire - very decadent. The cabin was secluded and quiet, as well as being very well designed with lots of balcony/verandah space for late afternoon wine and cheese. The jacuzzi was really luxurious and the fire was lovely. The staff could not be faulted on anything: they were all attentive, genuine, helpful and very accommodating. The whole place appears very environmentally aware and the infrastructure is well-maintained (don't let the idea of eco-toilets put you off - they don't smell and are kept clean). The surrounding bushwalks are quite wonderful (although the walk to Beauchamp Falls is quite difficult now, due to a recent rockslide). The reception/lounge/restaurant is a very pleasant space and the food there is good (we went for lunch). My only comment would be that, while the meat and sauces were lovely, the vegetables didn't really measure up. Other than that, this was a perfectly relaxing experience and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

What a fantastic place to escape to
We stayed in a 2 bedroomed cabin which was cosy
The combustion wood fire was amazing and wood was plentiful
The eco-loo was most interesting
We ate dinner twice at the restaurant and it was a gastronomical experience
The breakfast buffet was fantastic as well
The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly
All in all we will revisit and have and will recommend to everyone
Feeding the birdlife was great fun as well

We stayed in a self contained one bedroom cabin, fantastic the breakfast basket was amazing, the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. We were trapped in the lodge by snow, there was always wood delivered to the cabin for the wood stove, cozy. Would recommend to anyone'

Room Tip: The single cabins are great for a couple but the lodges would be a party for groups.

These hidden cabins are truly beautiful.
So secluded & surrounded by beautiful nature.
We stayed in the deluxe cabin which was really cosy & romantic.
We LOVED the japanese hot tub, it was just amazing!!!
It can be overlooked from the huge upstairs bedroom too.
The snuggly thick white robes supplied for the night were a bonus.
Our stay was just perfect!

Room Tip: We highly recommend the deluxe cabin for couples

We (2 adults, 2 children aged 8 and 12) stayed in one of the self contained cabins at Jemby Rinjah for a short (2 night) break in September 2012.
The location is great if you like being surrounded by the Australian bush. There is plentiful birdlife, we saw a lyrebird on the grounds as well as many crimson rosellas and king parrots. The staff feed the birds (rosellas and king parrots) in the morning. The birds are quite friendly and will eat out of your hand.
The location is within walking distance of many good bushwalks, such as the Grand Canyon Circuit. Evans lookout is just at the end of the road and gives majestic views of the surrounding valleys - best seen in the afternoon when the sun is shining on the sandstone escarpments.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The cabin was fairly basic and a little old, but was very comfortable and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay (including a fireplace).
I would highly recommend Jemby Rinjah to international visitors to Australia.
