“You must stop here! ”
Reviewed February 17, 2014 via mobile

We stopped here for lunch on our way back to Bathurst from Sydney.. so glad we did! What a great little restaurant! The food was absolutely melt in your mouth delicious!! Everything was wood fired but it was nice not to see a single pizza on the menu. The meals were hearty, rustic and made with lots of love. We had the prawn and chorizo gnocchi and the slow cooked goat - Add a glass of red on a rainy day - and a salad picked straight from the garden - can't go wrong! The waiter was very personable and chilled out, made us feel right at home. We will be back with bells on!!

“Good Vibes from Vesta Visit”
Reviewed January 30, 2014

All other restauranters for a hundred miles please visit Vesta and imbibe.
If you start cooking classes can I please go? My wood fired oven skills clearly need honing.
What a pleasure it was to be there. Thank you!

Just wish we had discovered this place sooner!

“loved it”

Amazing food in this quaint restaurant on the edge of town. This is a restaurant for foodies and you won't be disappointed. And it is great value for the price. My favorite restaurant in the Blue Mountains.

“Great restaurant in Blackheath”
Reviewed January 4, 2014

Didn't know whether the restaurant would be open over the Christmas/New Year period. Left a message on Boxing Day, and sure enough, the following morning we had a call back confirming the reservation. My wife and I ordered the slow baked shoulder of lamb (the menu said it was for two people) - it was to die for - it could have served the 4 of us, there was so much of it. We had to send some of it back as there was no way we could finish it all.

The staff were good - very attentive. The decor is "rustic". The only thing I could possibly say against the place is that it was a bit noisy - but that was mainly due to a large group of people who had a large table in the middle of the restaurant. They departed about 1/2 way through our meal, and from then on, we could hear each other talk again.

There are not many restaurants to choose from in Blackheath for dinner - this one is certainly top of the list. Definitely going back on our next visit to the mountains.
