It is not often that fine dining around Sydney can be combined with BYO with reasonable corkage ($4 pp) however Escarpment is such a place.
All the other usual fine dining qualities were there; elegant, fresh space with linen tablecloths, excellent service and very tasty, attractively presented food.
We found our entrees of asparagus soup for me and pastry tartlet for her to be excellent whilst our mains of mussels for me and mushroom braise for her were also very tasty. Our only complaint was that the mains are not very filling and we would have still have been quite hungry if it was not for the delicious fries and sourdough roll.
PS. Would also recommend to management that they accept Amex even if it meant imposing a surcharge - at least customers have the option.
