The Victory is a Blackheath icon. The number of times I've eaten there would be in the hundreds. My husband and I, as well as family members and friends, have been going there since 2001, when we first owned our holiday house in Blackheath. It's a simple, unpretentious cafe with consistently good food, large servings, well-priced and with some blackboard specials. Try the soups, which are on the menu in rotation, the nachos, the calamari salad, the bruschetta (more interesting than most), and the Blackheath breakfast - enough for two. The menu has some Asian influences as well, and the Victory is now open three nights a week for dinner, serving modern Asian food. The coffee at the Victory has become more consistent lately with a new barista. The service can be a little slow when the place is packed on the weekend, but not alarmingly so. Behind the cafe is the awesome Victory Theatre Antique Centre, the perfect place to browse on a cold Blackheath day.
