“Amazing views and walking trails”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2012

There are fanatic vies and ample parking at this lookout. Also there are a good amount of picnic tables making it a great lunch or coffee stop. There are also a lot of hiking trails, but be warned-some of these require a high level of fitness and as with all walks in the mountains, you should let people know when you are going and when you are expected to return, the trail you are taking, layers of clothes, warm jacket, food, water etc etc, and an emergency beacon that you can hire from the police station.

“Only do the walk if you're really fit”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2012 via mobile

We did the 30 minutes walk on a cool/slightly warm day. We should've turned back when we realised all our steps were downhill, as that's how it continued. The walk back was horrendous and did not outweigh the view. I would recommend Wentworth Falls over this sight.

“Wonderful views of the Blue Mountains”

The view from here was delightful, makes you really appreciate what we have here in Australia. We have travelled to many places around the world but there is a great deal of beauty right here on our doorstep.

“Relaxing, fun for all.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 25, 2012

As i local i love it here. It can be for anyone. I take all my guests here. There are mazing walks. At Govetts leap there is a walk that is great for one like the elderly, mothers with prams etc... as there is a flat path. My daughter loves riding her scooter and bike here. It takes you to a lookout where you can sit, enjoy a picnic and the views.

There are other walks that are longer for the ones that really want to get into the bush. Some bushwalks that you can take children on without them getting too tired but they get to cross some water and stones that make the walk that bit more enjoyable for them.

Once you are in the area it is worth driving that extra 8 minutes or so across the other side of the railway line to go to Logan Brae (139 Shipley Rd). An apple orchard. Nothing beats fresh apples and apple juice, it is real apple juice. It is so fresh and nothing like you have tasted before and you won't feel guilty giving the kids juice!! Usually March - August/September they are open.

Once on that road you can keep following it to the end (of Shipley Rd) to come to an amazing lookout and walk. All my friends that visit i take here. It is not that busy. The views are breath taking and a great walk here. Not as touristy here which can make it much more enjoyable :)

“Beautiful”

Govetts Leaps is a great location. Not quite as good as Evans Lookout or the Three Sisters though.
