We were staying nearby in Blackheath & wanted somewhere nearby for dinner on Friday night of the long weekend....
Wow we were so blown away by the interesting menu & the fabulous food with flavours from all over the world.
Cinnabar offers share plates which were perfect with 2 couples to allow us to fully enjoy a wide variety of flavours from these talented chefs!
The very helpful waitress suggested combining different selections from the menu..... our favourites were Tempura soft shell crab with a green Thai dipping sauce, spinach & ricotta dumplings with cheesy sauce, & pork balls in a tomato saffron broth with chorizo crumbs.....
In fact we loved everything we had ordered..... the restaurant itself was warm & inviting with an intimate atmosphere....
Our waitress recommended an afternoon drive to Dry Ridge Winery in the Megalong Valley which offered stunning views & great wines....
Thank you Cinnabar for a wonderful treat!

Visited Blackheath for a very belated Xmas in July in Sept 2018. The whole 5 of us agreed to visit Cinnabar for dinner on Saturday night.
The meal was superb again- we shared the spinach and ricotta dumplings (to die for) and tempura prawns, spiced sardines with carrot relish and Finn toast (my favourite) baked fish etc and chose sides of snow peas with nuts and orange blossom salad with pomegranate (can’t recall its exact name) with an excellent local wine to follow our celebratory champers. Dessert was lemon marshmallow big enough for four of us to share.
We love this place and totally recommend it, if you can get in - do book!

We had dinner and was able to share meals. We selected three vegetarian options and desert. The meals were not large in size but the quality was very good.

Must admit I was not sure about going here after reading the menu, but am glad we tried it. We enjoyed 4 sharing dishes plus a dessert between 2 people and found it just the right amount of food. We found the hummus, spicy prawns, pork balls, layered potatoes and meringue all very nice. The ladies who run the restaurant are very attentive and helpful. Prices are towards the high end and not being BYO makes it more expensive than nearby restaurants, but I still felt that it was good value for money.

Visited Blue Mountains for a getaway and found our way to Cinnabar for a Friday dinner. You must book ahead this place is popular, and well deserved. The recent reviews are 100% on the mark. A very small space with as little as 24 seats, which makes it so much more intimate for a special night. The food would have to be some of the best we've ever had. So well balanced and ever so delicate. The staff recommended the Ricotta and Spinach dumplings and wow! The soft blue cheese sauce was not overpowering but rather complementary to the dumplings. Also, the Nordic spiced sardines and Broome Barramundi were both awesome. A small but well priced wine list (such a rarity these days) offered a selection of local, regional and international samples. We travelled 5 hours to get here and Cinnabar has made every kilometre worth the trip. Thank you it was a most wonderful dinner experience.
