The new owners have put together an incredible menu with some twists on old favorites and other very fine food. The flavours, textures and presentation were excellent. Of particular note was the tomato basil soup. mmmmmmmmmm. and the mixed salad with the epazote dressing.

Sebastian, the fella behind the bar, was a great host. We ate well, drank like professionals, and had a wonderful time (on both occasions). Avocado soup was a memorable bowl of avocado-ness. Recommended. Great for the first night in town.

The Oasis Bar and Grill has just been taken over by new operators, Sebastion and his mother. This location has casitas for rent as well, very simple but clean and each has a private bath with hot water and private bath. Located on the river and just a short walk to beach, I will definetly stay here next trip. The bar/ restaurant was enjoyable. I had the baked local cheese to start with fresh corn tortillas, delish!

Early one Wednesday evening, late in October, my wife and I walked up the path to Yelapa Oasis. We had just landed in our adopted Mexican home, endured customs and struggled up the hill to our new casita in Los Cerritos. Emotionally and physically depleted we instinctively turned our thoughts to food and drink. A poster on the way up to our home identified that very evening as Yelapa Oasis' opening night for the season. Making the roughly one block trek, we sought refuge in on the beautiful grounds of this special setting. As we approached the open dining area, a welcoming voice sang out "welcome home." It was the voice of Sebastian whom we had never seen before, but who somehow had the uncanny sense to say just the right words. The ensuing evening was one of delightful drinks, sumptuous dining and properly attentive service. Sebastian introduced himself, his partner Natalia and his mother Cheryl. The trio had recently acquired the restaurant and the extensive grounds. Renovations were ongoing to offer not only a superb dining experience but an equally enjoyable lodging opportunity. We departed that evening fattened and be-friended. We returned the following morning to sample their eclectic "snack" breakfast. My selection was the pesto pizza with the additional request that a fried egg be placed on top. "No problem!" If it sounds good to you, feel free to order Pizza al Memo. We return on a weekly basis to experience great friends (Sebastian, Natalia, Cheryl) and now live music on Sunday evenings.

Had lunch at the newly re-opened Yelapa Oasis in Yelapa. Owner, Sebastian, was very personable. Showed us around the grounds that he was in the process of renovating. Gardens are beautiful and lush -- right on the river in Yelapa. Food and drinks were good. We will certainly go back again next time we are in Yelapa.
