“Fishing + Lunch in Chimo: FANTASTIC!”
Reviewed May 19, 2014

We had a perfect day with Fernando. We loved being out on the water, period. On top of that, we all caught fish (hooked Bonita at the same time!), and ate an unforgettable 3-course lunch in Chimo of conch ceviche, octopus (pulpo!) and lobster. Fernando was great. He and mate, Paul were totally on top of the trip, plus he was excellent company and, being local, had such interesting things to tell us about where we were. Yelapa and the people there are so lovely. We'll be back to Yelapa and back on Fernando's boat.

“Marieta's Island Tour and Waterfall hike”
Reviewed May 17, 2014

Our group of 10 booked a tour with MiraMar to visit the Marieta's Islands and to hike to a secluded waterfall in Yelapa. They brought fishing gear, snorkeling gear and everything else we could need. The ceviche was amazing! The hike was one of the highlights of our trip- it was truly a legitimate and non-touristy experience. We got to see where they grow pineapples and mangos in Yelapa, we saw 2 boaconstrictors on our hike, and got to learn all about Yelapa, which is the only reservation left in Mexico (only local people can own the land there). We give MiraMar 5 stars and would book again with them anytime!

We booked an all-day private adventure with MiraMar so we could do all sorts of things.

Going out with Fernando & Chopo on the boat is one of our fondest memories while in Yelapa. Fishing, snorkeling, checking out the Mariettas, eating fresh cerviche, seeing tons of marine-life, enjoying the sunshine and just having great conversation.

MiraMar is a class act, and is #1 in our book, from the hotel to the excursion.

I especially loved being able to go to a less-crowded area to swim and hang, away from the big Vallarta Adventures party barge. Awesome, so worth it.

“Wonderful Fishing!”
Reviewed March 1, 2014

My husband went fishing 3 times during our week long stay and had a great time each trip. Bonita were running while we were there and they were delicious. The ceviche was wonderful and is one of things I am most looking forward too when we go back next year!

“Yelapa Fishing Trip”
Reviewed February 28, 2014

Had a great early morning fishing trip with MiraMar Excursions. Fernando's brother Chopo took me and another guy out for a good morning of fishing. We caught about a dozen Bonito and about another dozen Charo (I think they were called, but not sure). Anyway, Chopo was a great captain, quick and efficient and he knew where to find the fish. We were staying at one of Fernando and Kendra's condos, and when we were done fishing we pulled right up on the beach and Chopo used the Bonita to make the best ceviche I've ever had. You can't beat the taste of fresh fish straight out of the ocean! I had a great trip and would defintely come back for a fishing trip and a stay with MiraMar.
