Our stay in Yelapa at MiraMar was the highlight of our recent trip to the region. As soon as we arrived Kendra and Fernando quickly made us feel welcome.

Everything about the house was great and the view was down right amazing. It was so nice to wake up to the sound of the ocean in the morning and see the whales in the bay in the early evening.

We hope to come back again soon!

One of the best views of Yelapa Cove. My husband & I just got back from Yelapa and we are already planning for our return. We rented Casa Manta Ray for 7 nights. The hosts (Kendra & Fernado) are so warm & thoughtful. They will give great advise on restaurants & activities, etc. Fernando & his cousin opened a wonderful restaurant right up the stairs from Casa Manta Ray. I highly recommend "El Cerrito" to anyone who travels to Yelapa. Awesome fish, homemade soup (my fave- the mushroom soup)and a mexican twist on caprese salad. We loved the casa and especially the patio deck. We probably spent 85% of our time out there just listening to the waves and watching the sunset while sipping a cocktail or cervesa-AAWWWWW. Wish I was still there.

Room Tip: I chose very good on sleep quality because we are used to sleeping on a waterbed. The waves did, however, lull me to sleep each night.

What a great place this is. We stayed in Casa Manta Ray and it was perfect. You can't ask for better view and service. You can spend the entire day just relaxing in the large balcony, laying on the hammock and enjoy the ocean breeze. Kendra and Fernando are exceptional people who will do their best to ensure your stay in their casa is as peaceful as possible. Our accomodation was in a great location close to many restos, the town pier, the large beach and other attractions in the area. The casa has all the necessary supplies you need and a great information binder waiting for you filled with advice and recommendation on places to eat, activities and everything there is to know about Yelapa. We had a wonderful experience here and can't wait to return again.

Muchas gracias Fernando y Kendra. Hasta luego.

Room Tip: Casa Manta Ray is perfect for couples

What a wonderful trip we have had here in Yelapa! We spent a week at Kendra and Fernando's place. Fernando met us at the airport and helped us navigate our way to Yelapa, and we did a few errands on the way. Simon, our 19-month-old, quickly became famous among the locals. He loved chasing chickens, pointing out dogs, and looking for frogs. Everyone was so friendly, and it was so nice to have a break from technology and truly relax. The food was delicious, the best meal was at El Manguito - a seafood platter for fish-starved, landlocked folks - really fresh. Also Tacos y Mas, ceviche @ Oasis, and pie and ice cream. Best drinks - Tacos y Mas. Fernando took Brian fishing, then they cooked up their catch at El Manguito - fabulous. Hike to the waterfall wasn't the best - had to turn around at the very end as we couldn't get to it with the baby. Not to mention the blisters! Can't wait to come back - maybe when Simon will go in the water...

Thanks Kendra and Fernando!

Two words....stay here! We stayed for a week in Casa Manta Ray. Owners Kendra and Fernando made arranging everything easy and were so warm and welcoming the entire time we were there.

The house is fantastic with a view that can't be beat! The town is great but the house and view were so nice we spent a good amount of time on the balcony watching the birds and fish and boats come in and out of the bay. It was fun to watch the soccer games on the beach in the evenings too.

Make sure you visit with Kendra and Fernando at their restaurant up from the house, El Cerrito. The passionfruit margaritas are awesome and they even made a vegan dish for me when asked. The strawberry balsamic gazpacho was unreal!

Everyone is town was friendly. There are lots of places for great food and drinks. We enjoyed hiking to the waterfall in town as well as the one upriver and a great hike around the point and up to the cemetery.

Can't wait to go back!
