Moon Handbook (2011) described great $130 package which includes " transportation, 3 services and lunch" for $130. Took 2 email, and 3 phone calls to contact spa/hotel - went over details (only two services), and added cooking class - asked cost and manager specifically stated $200 each for 2 people. Received email confirm of schedule. Day of visit: nice jungle setting, but VERY basic building, VERY steep access from VERY unstable boat. Good services and nice lunch (added glass of wine each). interesting class/good chef - also bare bones setting. Final bill for day was $680!!! When I balked, spa manager (very nice!) reviewed by email with hotel manager and they finally reduced to $502 (the only extra was wine at $25.50) We compromised and paid. It was a nice day but, overall, this eco-oriented hotel/spa is not worth the big bucks it charges.
