I was brought up around here in Sussex, so know the area pretty well. This cottage(s) is perfectly located for a quiet getaway, yet near the centre of the beautiful village of West Chiltington. It really is a short walk to the Queen's Head - a very nice pub that has great food and beer. I like the warm flat English ales :)
The cottages feel brand new but apparently its been a few years since they were converted into accommodation. The hundred year + old beams are exposed and there are nice touches where parts of the original construction are exposed.
Thick walls and good heating keep it cosy.
We are sleeping four very comfortably. Everything feels of good quality - something you do not always get with a rental.
A very nice sized bath - perfect for the winter days - which is when we stayed.
As it is on a working farm, my daughter is in heaven with the goats and cows she enjoys visiting and feeding.
Val has done a GREAT job with these cottages!
