We stopped her recently on the spur of the moment and it was really nice. There isn't anything to do on the campsite but there is a lovely pub down the road a short walk away. The toilets and showers wear clean although you had to pay for the shower which for the price of the pitch you would think it be included asking the the electric which cost a pound extra. But a nice place to just relax.

My husband and 2 boys stayed one night while walking part of the South Downs Way from Brighton/Devils Dyke to Arundel. The site is only a 20-30 minute walk of the South Downs Way, it is well looked after with nice and clean facilities and very affordable at £19 for 1 tent, 1 adult, 2 teenage boys and a dog. Recommended to all South Downs trekkers.

Stayed here 3 nights over August Bank Holiday weekend. We weren't expecting much, but found a super little site with loads of touches that made our stay great. The manager can't do enough for you, from personally walking us to a great pitch and providing take away menus for site delivery when we couldn't be bothered to cook one night! Shower block is spotlessly clean and cleaned every morning - 20p for a steaming hot 5-minute shower. There's also a stream to the back of the site, which my niece and nephew loved exploring and camp fire kindling and wood is provided daily for the communal fire pit, which always makes camping that extra special. There is some noise from the A24, but it doesn't deter from the views over the south downs - definitely take a walk up to Chanctonbury Ring for breathtaking 360 views of the area. We will definitely be back. Thanks.

...we have been visiting Nigel and this site for the last 3 years and love it. We only live about 7 miles away but as some members of the family have to work in Hove on a Saturday this is perfect as it's so near.
The site never feels crowded (even this weekend when dozens of D of E youngsters turned up on Saturday afternoon). There is plenty of room for us to play football and cricket. The site is always clean and we have a pitch at the top of the hill so the views over the campsite and Chanctonbury Ring are amazing.
The facilities are always spotless and there is everything we need (my niece did say she wished that there was a vending machine for sweets but we are very glad that there isn't!!)
The fire was alight on Saturday night and we toasted marshmallows and had a sing song before the littlies went to bed.
We paid £32 for two nights for two adults (you also get charged for your car but we parked ours outside the campsite and saved £10) which is excellent value.
We have had a wonderful weekend and will be back next year for sure.

It was our first night in our caravan! Nigel helped us to find an easy spot to pitch up. He put us so we could see the children play. Lovely clean facilities. It was a cold night, lit the bonfire....starry skies...perfect. Fresh eggs from the farmer and Nigel was so helpful. Going back. Have been to a large local site camping before but I love the personal nature of this site. Totally loved it.

we camped in a tent there, on a very cold nigh (roughly -6 degrees at the coldest time!) Everything was good and the site is well-designed. Nigel, the nice owner helped us as much as he could. there was a neat campfire area that made a big difference to our camping experience. it's a shame that most campsites in the UK don't allow camp fires. the only main drawback was the road's noise that could be heard at all times. it wasn't very annoying though, and you could sleep in your tent as long as you are not super-sensitive to noise. it was a 4-star Visit England site. all in all, i would recommend it!

Camped here july 2008 very clean site with showers toilets and washingup area all in 1 building at top of site.About a 10min walk to Washington with a pub and playing field.Closest supermarket and other shops in village of Storrington 2 miles away.Only complaint was that £23 per night was a bit expensive for a small tent for a site that has nothing there not even lighting on the field in the evening maybe that explains why the site was nearly empty.
