It was their open day when we arrived and there were lots of stalls selling a variety of crafts. Butterflies were in abundance and several of us were chasing them round the Buddleias to photograph them!
This site is in a lovely setting overlooking far reaching fields and hills. All the staff we met were knowledgeable and helpful and delighted to talk about recent sightings. The walks to the various hides were well laid out and accessible to wheelchairs too. The hides were full of photos of various birds to aid identification.
We had lunch in the restaurant, sitting outside and enjoyed our food which was of a high quality and plentiful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

I discovered Pulborough about eighteen months ago when I got interested in ornithology. It really is a great way to observe nature in a terrific environment. Not only have I seen many different species I have walked around the reserve and discovered the peace of the place. The restarant is great and do lovely sandwiches and some of it's customers use it just to eat and meet people. The staff are great and help a lot to either get a better view or identify species. Many young people go there to pond dip and get a better appreciation. A fantastic place to go

Visited pulborough brooks with two toddlers on a special 'watery fun day' which i would thoroughly recommend. Lots of rspb people around to answer questions / help spot. could hire binoculars. Kids took part in organised pond dipping and making dragon flys. Nice place to walk about although not overly buggy friendly. Play area and inside learning area's well laid out, with a fab tunnel for kids to run around in. Great place to go to spot birds, large area with well laid out trails. Would suit older children better on a normal day. Cafe, shop and changing facilities all good.

OK, so that sounds a bit obvious a heading but having visited Bentley, that is the sort of thing I expected here.
Lots of hides, loads of walking, plenty of seating, not enough info on the way round.
Helpful staff in the shop and restaurant.
The restaurant have an outside seating area and the food is good and reasonably priced.
There is a play area. Good amount of parking.
This is for very enthusiastic bird watchers and on our walk around we had to stop at times, tiptoe or stop talking to allow those with the large binoculars and telescopic lensed cameras to appreciate what I wish I knew.
A good walk on a warm day with a good lunch was had.

We called in this RSPB reserve whilst visiting the area on holiday. What a thoroughly well organised and wonderful place to see birds, animals and flowers. We arrived after the visitor centre had closed so being able to pick up a brochure from an outdoor dispenser was a great idea. It was a lovely evening so we decided to walk to a couple of the reserve hides. There was plenty to see and hear en route with the chiff chaff chorus in the woods being particularly impressive. We watched a small herd of fallow deer in the field at the edge of the wetland area, which was great. The bird life in view from the hide was as you would expect given the habitat, with the hides offering both comfortable and first rate viewing. Overall, it was a lovely place to spend a few hours at the end of the day. By the time we were leaving quite a few locals were turning up, so we suspect the locals value very much the special place on their doorstep. Must be a contender for a Spring or Autumn Watch outdoor broadcast at some point!! Hmm, anyone fancy starting a campaign on twitter and/or FB
