We booked a table to have a light lunch/sandwich after a local funeral.
There were only 8 of us and we were given a table.
We all chose pretty basic food including 2 beef burgers which supposedly came with freshly made bread buns and to be fair we were warned that that we were not able to have them cooked medium rare as they didn't prepare their own mincemeat.
I was a bit disappointed as I do prefer my meat slightly rare but decided to go ahead anyway.
The meat which was served was very overcooked and dry and the home made Focaccia bread was also 'tough'
I do not understand when a restaurant or pub advertises that they do fine dining that they cannot mince their own meat especially charging £14.50 for it.
Really annoying as the setting is great and the service good.More
