Myself and 5 friends stayed at Willow Barns to see in the New Year. We each had amazingly comfortable rooms - decorated to the highest standards and with the most comfortable beds EVER!!!

Breakfast was served every morning by the very friendly Wendy - delicious - she offered fresh fruit, cooked breakfasts, scrambled eggs, artesan breads and fresh juices. She also welcomed us with some freshly made cake!!! Thank you Wendy!!!

The barns are situated behind a lovely country pub and amongst acres of fields and public footpaths. We took a walk up the hill and followed the South Down Way for a while - lovely views! Advise you take Wellington Boots. And prepare to have no phone reception as it's quite remote! The barns have free wi-fi though, so not totally cut off!

While we were there we ate at a few lovely places - although the whole area is awash with gastropubs! Highly recommended is Meghdoots in Petworth, Halfway Bridge Inn and the White Horse beside the bards. Lovely!

Many thanks for having us!!

Room Tip: We had room 1 - it's the only room that doesn't have a walk in shower but has the most ginor...

The key factor for us when booking was the flexibililty to come and go as we pleased throughout the day without having to go through the owner's house. What we hadn't bargained on was the sheer lovliness of the stonebuilt cottage bedrooms with the fantastically hi spec bathrooms. It was like being in a boutique hotel room except quieter and with a better view. The bedding and towels were of a really high quality and completely spotless .Wendy made us feel really welcome and couldn't have been more helpful. We loved the breakfasts with the home made jam and marmalade and high quality food- no cheap bacon or eggs. There was a huge bowl of fresh raspberries and strawberries, proper coffee , huge pots of tea. We loved it.

We stayed with family for a wedding nearby, having been recommended by a friend. We were not disappointed. Everything was just as others have described - spotlessly clean, big comfortable beds, fresh flowers in the rooms, big fluffy towels and bathrobes and a beautiful peaceful setting.
Amanda and Wendy could not have been more friendly and helpful - both with the booking, and while we were there. Amanda even managed to find and post to me a cardigan I had left behind in the pub next door, where we had perfectly cooked fish and chips the evening we arrived.
We had a 10 month old baby in our party and there was plenty of room for a travel cot, and the rooms opening directly onto the courtyard was a bonus, as no one was disturbed by the early risers going out for a walk.
The morning after the wedding Amanda and Wendy somehow calmly produced eight different cooked breakfasts - some vegetarian- all at the same time, out of the tiny kitchen! Altogether highly recommended, and we would love to stay again.

We were welcomed by the owner, who showed us the room and the breakfast room, very clean luxurious modern room. The location was very rural, which is what we hoped for, we were given the number of the local pub in the village to book an eve. meal. The only thing we were not keen on is that our room backed onto a pub, having said that the pub was so quiet it was not a problem. Also we only booked the dat before so we were lucky to get any room!! The rooms to the back of our would have a better view, so next time we would book in advance to get one of these rooms. We were surrounded by fields of cows, which was lovely. The owner was very helpful and breakfast was a delight. We will be going back!!

Room Tip: Rooms that do not back onto the pub would be more private

I stayed at Willow Barns in early July with most of my family, the night before my wedding. The barns are beautifully laid out and perfect for a large group. The barns are situated in the small village of Graffham which is an easy drive to both Goodwood and Petworth. It was the weekend of the Festival of speed but despite the busy roads nearby the barns remained quiet and peaceful.
The rooms are made up of two converted barns split into 5 rooms around a beautiful courtyard garden. The rooms are all clean and spacious and each finished in an individual contemporary way. My bed was amazingly comfortable and I slept peacefully. The little touches make this place really special, like home made brownies left with the tea and coffee. In the 'kitchen barn' there are lots of leaflets for local attractions as well as magazines and games for the kids.
We were lucky enough to have sunny weather and were able to eat breakfast out in the courtyard. The breakfast was wonderfully cooked and all tastes were accounted for.
We walked to The Forresters Arms in the evening which I would recommend, it has a large beer garden at the rear and restaurant and bar, the food was very good.
In all an amazing hideaway ideal either for a romantic weekend or a family or group looking to relax and get away from it all.

Amazing rooms, extremley comfortable. the most comfortable bed i have ever slept in. We had all five rooms for my son's wedding. ALL showers in ALL rooms were absolutley fine, very luxurious.
Amanda and Wendy are really lovely and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and fresh and lots to choose from. As were not in the rooms much at all we will certainly stay there again in the near future.

A few of us booked this recently opened B&B to accommodate us over a wedding weekend. None of us were at all disappointed, finding the rooms very comfortable and well equipped. Decked out tastefully with care and quality, we were even more impressed by the welcoming staff and excellent breakfast in the morning which came in handy on the other side of a big day celebrating the wedding.

The setting is spectacular, and it is one of these places that is a pleasure to drive through.

We loved our stay and would like to return some time soon, but in the meantime we have booked our parents in for a stay off the back of our stay. Thank you!
