I hovered between average and very good for this one. Decaff coffee was good and plenty of it. Would have been even better in decent china rather than church hall crockery. Very pleasant sitting in the garden.

Thank SussexKathy

Had a lovely night and dinner here along with spa treatment. Dinner excellent and good value for setting. Spa facilities but dates but comfy if few other guests. Lovely room, overall we'll worth it and would visit again. PS next time light those lovely fires, for character if nothing else!

During my two week stay in this area (staying with friends) we visited here a number of times as it is nearby. We ate/drank at various times of the day and also visited the spa for treatments.

Food - we thoroughly enjoyed all that we had, sandwiches perfect and freshly made, scones to die for, warmed every time and lunch was very good, goats cheese/duck starters with mains of burgers and homemade chips, one beef with horseradish and the other chicken with chirizo - both very tasty, good choices of both food and wine. We lost power and internet at home and utilised the wifi in the bar whilst taking advantage of the facilities, lunch etc.

Spa - very welcoming and we had a lovely relaxing spa day.

The one thing that really stands out in this hotel is the staff - they are second to none in their friendly helpful attitudes, it was a pleasure to visit each time. I certainly look forward to going back when i next visit and know that this is now one of our regular places to go in this area. It is value for money in all areas.

Me and my friend only managed to have starters as he was ill. But the mussels I had weren't very nice. One wasn't cooked and later made me queasy. We had sandwiches later which were ok.
