We have just returned from a fab 2 night stay @ The Regency. The location is great for exploring Chichester & further afield.Nicole greeted us very warmly & took us to our room which was spotless & well appointed.Marina's breakfast set you up well for the day & the variety is great especially the "eggs florentine"...all the wonderful breakfast breads really make it different. We shall certainly return.

On arrival we were given a warm welcome and escorted to our lovely front of house room with balcony. Everything was provided - even beach towels! Breakfast was yummy with local produce and home made sauces. The Regency was a great find as was Littlehampton with Thomas Heatherwick's Beach Cafe, lovely beach and great fish and chips.

Room Tip: We chose the front room on the first floor with balcony and it was superb. It looks towards the boat...

I always hesitate somewhat when I see effusive reviews, but it really is difficult to describe this B&B without saying that it is the best B&B in which we have ever stayed. We were heavily guided in our choice by previous reviews on TripAdvisor, and are pleased to report that they were entirely accurate.

We were met and greeted by Nicole, and shown to our lovely, very large room (4), at the back of the house, on the return between the first and second floors. She made us feel really welcome, and gave us plenty of advice as to where we could eat within walking distance, and some ideas of where to go a little further afield. She also took a booking time for breakfast, as she and her partner, Marina, who does the cooking for the guests like to be able to give their full attention to each set of guests rather than rushing.

The room is luxurious, comfortable - and just a little quirky! They clearly like stripes, and there is some bold striped wallpaper on one wall in this room, as well as in the hallways, and we had lovely striped towels in the shower room too! The decor is both modern and striking, but does manage to be in keeping with the traditional house. Our room had a huge ornate mirror propped against a wall, which was decorative and useful.

It is a large bedroom, with a huge bed, a chair and plenty of surfaces on which to put books and other detritus. There is a separate sitting area, with two chairs and a small table, along with amenities including tea and coffee - and a couple of large wine glasses! There is hanging space plus space for suitcases on the floor.

The shower room is very modern and clean, with a large shower compartment and modern fittings and an illuminated mirror. If I had the tiniest criticism, it would be that the lighting in the shower room is a bit dim for those of us who are more than a little optically challenged, with just one spot in the main part of the room. However, that really is a minor gripe, and wouldn't even be applicable to those guests who can see beyond the end of their noses! Good quality shower gel, liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner are provided - and not in niggling little sachets or bottles.

The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept very well every night. It was definitely worth getting up, though, for the superb breakfasts. Although loosely based on the 'continental or full English' concept, this was breakfast with a difference! A console table holds a good range of cereals, fruits and yogurts, The main menu offers some delicious choices, most with a quirky twist! Scrambled eggs on toast - but with bacon. A mushroom stack, with deliciously garlicky mushrooms on toast. A traditional Full English. Eggs Florentine - with a twist (bacon again!) or baked eggs with spinach. Plus more. As well as coffee and 'normal' tea, there is a choice of herbal teas - but the mint and chocolate mint teas are a treat, with real herbs in the pot, just with boiling water added. There is a good size jug of orange juice each morning, not a miserly small glass. And the condiments (ketchup and brown sauce) are home made, such attention to detail. Did I mention toast? Well, the choice of breads / toasts is amazing. Home made soda bread with oats and apricots, sour dough, wholemeal - and a host of others, a different selection every day. One sort to keep you going while your food was freshly cooked, and another to accompany it? Well, it would be rude to refuse, don't you think?

We stayed for three nights, and throughout this time the service remained exemplary and the attention to detail was meticulous. Our room was cleaned thoroughly each day, with a full set of clean towels, even when they had not all been used.

We would love to visit again (although we do not visit the south coast often) and wish Nicole and Marina well in this venture. Our only fear is that it is so good that it will become so popular that we will not be able to get a booking when we need it!

Room Tip: As far as I can tell from the reviews all the rooms are excellent - and different. Room 4 was lovely...

I myself have not stayed in The Regency overnight but my father and wife (who between you and me has very high standards) who is from abroad stayed here so I spent a few hours here.

And I have to say, this place is beautiful - lots of colour, fashion, care, thought and hard work! It is clear the owners are extremely passionate about it as every care has been taken to ensure a luxury stay! I would recommend The Regency to anyone looking at staying locally!

My father and wife both have nothing but amazing and wonderful things to say about the overall experience and will definitely be returning!! Myself too x

We stayed 3 nights in this lovely guest house. Nicole and Marina are perfect hosts, who have created a stylish, comfortable and relaxing environment. The breakfasts were fantastic, healthy and delicious, with plenty of choice. We really appreciated the selection of homemade breads. Attention to detail in every way, from the exquisite decor through to the welcoming, warm, but never overwhelming hosting style. Thank you for a perfect mini break.

This was the most modern and homely hotel or B&B that I have ever stayed in. Amazing attention to detail throughout, fantastic and attentive hosts. So warm and friendly. Littlehampton is beautiful and chilled out. We will be going back!
