Description: Serving up its specially selected menu of succulent steak dishes, Miller & Carter is devoted to all things beef. Alongside delicious cuts from the grill, the diverse menu includes build-your-own burgers, Seasonal salads and a range of tempting nibbles. Chilled draught beers, cooling cocktails and an extensive list of tipples are found behind the bar, or guests can choose from the well-stocked wine cellar.

I cannot believe some of the revues here. Yes it's a steakhouse, yes it's supplied by Brakes same as all the pubs and restaurants round here. No its not the Savoy or the Ritz but for Lancing its pretty damn good, if a little expensive for the area. The burgers and steaks are tasty and the service is not too bad compared with the opposition, why not give it a try hay...you may be pleasantly surprised!

More expensive than other chains but the steaks were well cooked and the range on offer wide. There were other dishes: tuna, chicken, pasta etc. but no specials. Service was attentive and quick even on a busy Friday. Ours was a birthday celebration and included free bottle champagne which they substituted for wine with no problem. It would have been nice to have cheeseboard choice.

Yes it has got more expensive but, if you stick to the basic bar menu [which you can have in the main restaurant] we have found it consistently good.
The service was good and and the waitresses efficient and attentive.

Since this restaurant transferred from a Beefeater to Miller Carter it has got more expensive, less friendly, less space to just have a drink, no bar meals and inevitable less crowded. We would always pop here from work on a Friday lunchtime however the menu is now all restaurant and double the price. I visited again with my daughter one Sunday lunchtime and it was deserted. The food was pretty average and my chicken very over done. The kitchen and grill is open and if you get seated at the area in front be prepared for some choice language as well as a very stressful environment. it doesn't help for a good atmosphere or a relaxing meal. there are plenty of other places to choose from in the area especially at this price, it cost us the same in town at a posh place where the chef was runner up Britain's Best Dish so don't think we will bother again.

Our 2nd visit to this attractive restaurant was a bit disappointing. Celebrating a friends birthday so we hoped it would be good. It wasn't! The prawn cocktails were tasteless, the wings undercooked and all steaks tough. We certainly won't be rushing back.
