We found the gardens were very expensive to get into and not that exciting. there are statues everywhere that they are trying to get you to buy everything is for sale. and you can walk round the whole garden with in an hour.

Maybe it is that it had not registered with us against the more well known gardens in the area, Wakehurst, Nymans, Sheffield Park etc, but this certainly measures up to any of these. There is something different about these gardens which it is so difficult to describe. They are not pretentious but they are attractive and engaging. Going in late August the Rose Garden, the borders and the Italian pond, as well as the dells were particularly attractive. Well worth a visit.

Reduced for seniors, one free on RHS and 2 for 1 with Historic Houses

A spectacle of colour when all flowers are in bloom, well worth a visit if you are a keen gardner. Does not get overly crowded so gives one time to enjoy.

We had a nice time going aroud this garden but it wasn't amazing, the garden felt too spaced out, if you could go in the house it would be better!
