On the day we visited, for our first time, we were dismayed to see such a packed car park - it was so busy. However, we were escorted to the disabled parking area by a helpful young man.

There were hordes of mothers and families with children, but Nymans absorbed them all and it was delightful to see everybody having a wonderful day out. You can picnic anywhere and there were families obviously set up for the day with children running free having a whale of a time. It was lovely to see them discovering how to roll down a bank as we walked around the outskirts. We enjoyed an ice cream half way round, just when we needed on and we sat and soaked up the fantastic view of the High Weald.

For someone just enjoying walking again after a knee replacement operation, the route was just right. We thought that the summer borders were colourful and full of interest. The house was a surprise. I bet it's so cold in Winter. I was intrigued to learn that the last resident was the mother of Lord Snowden.

For young and old - a great day out.

A beautiful place to visit, gorgeous gardens, plenty of space for picnics, although it was extremely busy, lovely friendly welcoming house. Do go there if you get the chance.

Visited Nymans and loved it. The grounds are just beautiful to walk around/admire/sit in. House is small but also interesting; the guides inside were very informative about the history and helped bring it alive and explain the connections to the Royal family via Armstrong-Jones. Shop available for browsing and some food for sale. Was able to borrow a wheelchair for free from the reception for an elderly member of our group, which made access much easier and quicker. Highly recommended!

It was the hottest day of the year, lovely walk, the house was an interesting detour. The café whilst expensive was clean, good selection of food, with good service. The Wind in the Willows exhibition disappointing. Highlight was the great ice cream from the ice cream van at the back of the house!
