This is a regular for us. The bar is lovely, snug, warm and staff very welcoming. Took my husband for his birthday, as we know the menu is always changing, local produce and local ales. One of the starters had curried toast, which was divine. And then sausage and mash. Easy dish, but the flavour of the sausages were perfect. Mash not lumpy, very well done. Onion gravy which is not as strong as you'd think, very delicate and not stewed. The wine list is always good. We've had different red wines each time, and they've been very good. What we love about this place is the setting. Tucked away just off the road with views of sheep and lambs in a quintessentially countryside spot. Summer here in the garden is another great excuse to come, even if it's just for a drink. Just love this place.
